most newer churches are of course split from other churhes unless they are creating a new religion. find out where the paster attended seminary and what churches he was at before, that i think will tell you what you want to know. also do some other research like where the "elders, deacons, etc" in the church attended before. non-denominational is a pretty new term and unless they are all unbelievers that started a church they all attended some where else before.

Someone asked Him,“Lord, are only a few people going to be SAVED?” He said to them,“MAKE EVERY EFFORT (STRIVE) to enter through the narrow door, because MANY, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.”(Luke 13:23-24)

On a question about SALVATION Jesus said people must MAKE EVERY EFFORT. Human effort is involved in salvation.

Churches of Christ are nondenominational.

The heading of this topic was like a red cape to a bull for Heath. Ladies and gentleman you have just witnesses the first of Heaths wrath. After reading his anger and judgement for some time I did click on his web site once just to see if he had horns! Keep the faith!

Ladies and gentlbodies, katladee stands opposed to N.T. Christianity. He/she can't prove what we teach is wrong, so he/she just gripes about us.

John 10:19-20
19 Therefore there was a division again among the Jews because of these sayings.
20 And many of them said,"He has a demon and is mad. Why do you listen to Him?"

People said Jesus had a demon and was crazy. I guess as one of His followers I should expect the same.

I was raised in the Church of Christ, even studied to be a missionary over seas at Sunset School of Preaching when I was in my teens. Over the years, I learned that the Church of Christ was not the New Testament Church. I had questions that no one could answer and still can't. I don't belong to any "religion" now, but I do believe there is One Church that has to be the true Church because it says so in the Bible, if I ever find that church that Jesus started many years ago then I will go to it. And anyway what is a non denomational church anyway, believe what you want just go? I don't really know the answer to that anyway. But I do know many people are mislead my false religions today and that people should study for themselves not just take the world of men.

I'm not the Son of God and never claimed to be.

Why don't you take your Bible and show me where I'm wrong?

Prove it.
Book, chapter, verse please.

Ask me those questions. I'll answer them with the Bible.

A non denominational church believes in a mixture of the bible and not just a specific teaching and focus on that.

Each denomination practices/ focuses on a specific teaching from the bible and practice that.

In a non demonational church.... a good one mind you...teaches from the Bible all the bible...they are believers just like any other church.

But they do not pick out the parts they want to obey and do just those.

I have studied many religions and visited the churches... not that they are wrong...but I like just the bible teachings...not what the church itself thinks we should and shouldn't do.

For instance: these churches practice or believe in:

Church of Christ: Lords Supper every sunday, no musical insturments, no eating at church, baptism in water

Catholic: Pray to Mary mother of Jesus
Sprinkle instead of submursion in water

Suthern Baptist: Lords supper quarterly, usualy at night service on sunday, water batism, chior with music but usually not live

Penicostal: Live worship bands, wear strict clothing, dresses/skirts for women, they don't cut their hair because the bible says hair is a womans glory & her covering. They sometimes speak in toungs

Luther: Partake of Lords Supper every other week,
the have music in church

Church of God: Some speak in toungs, baptism with water,

First Christian Church: take the lord supper frequently not sur how often but the wine is from 1 cup...everyone drinks from the same cup

So you see all of these things are taught in the bible but all of them do not practice every thing in every church.

Non Denominational churches take a mixture of all this and try to put it together as best they can.

I'm sure someone will pick apart what I've said, this is a rough estimate of practices & beliefs of the local churches. I'v left out many of the practices, but tried to sumarize the main ones.

They all are Bible believing churches that believe Jesus died for our sins.

So take it form there and make what you will of it.
