Toyota has the best shop by far! Lance, Jimmy, Matt and there's a couple others who work there also do great work!

Don't the dealer shops charge more than the independent shops?

I have dealt with Toyota of Paris since 1999. They have been great about servicing my vehicles. Their prices are well within reasonable limits. The peace of mind knowing my vehicles are fixed right is very important. I wouldn't want my daughter to break down, because I scrimped on getting it fixed right the first time. I've also. found them to be honest & not try to "oversell" repair work.
Also, Jason Henry, has been an excellent repair for just about any vehicle. And, he's very reasonable on prices & time to repair. His garage is off Lamar Ave, behind AutoZone, I think. He stays real busy though.
If you're going for tires, & exhaust systems, then Hick's on Bonham is really fair.
If you have a specialty vehicle(like a motor home), the go to BillBass tires on S Church St. He has knowledgeable mechanics for front end work, & special order parts & tires for the MH.
Good luck, & beware of deals. that are "forced on you, saying it must be fixed by us right now". I went to a mechanic on N Main (north of the Loop) for a "free state inspection". He told me my truck was totally unsafe, needed about $2000. in immediate repairs & it couldn't pass the inspection. I drove directly to an above mentioned shop, who said nothing was needing repair. I paid the state inspection fee & haven't had any trouble with my truck for over 5 years. So beware of "freebie" & wolves in sheep's clothing.

Good mechanics in Paris are few and far between. You might look outside of Paris for any major work.

Great mechanic - honest and reasonable is Kem Fendley of Fendley's Garage off of 19th SW. He always does good work, does not overcharge. He has taken great care of the cars in our family for years. No one better.

First of all, to hell with Toyota. They blow ass. Or for my vehicle they do anyways.. sat there for a month.. and all they did was rip apart the interior.. and it's still messed up. Anyways.. best mechanic, Kevin White. Hands Down.
