It is not a man or a woman thing. It's a people thing.
It's a choice that everyone makes if they are married and want to stay that way.
Having an affair, is a behavior that shows you don't, and that your ego and private parts are more important that the vow you took, or the spouse you chose.
This is so right. You are so true in everything you said. A vow and a promise to your spouse. And the other persons involved you know goes around comes around.

Does anyone know what adultery is? It is a sin. Andyou are BOTH guilty. You should be ashamed of yourself, both parties. You will be judged. And the talk of the town won't even compare. Just be thankful that God forgives those that ask AND repent of their sins.

That is interesting. I didn't know that either. I would like to know more about military law and adultery. It sounds like an interesting subject.

Very interesting. But it is all alleged but it is subject to investigation. Saw Senator on tv this morning talking about it. Bet wives are embarrassed as he**.

I wouldn't doubt that either, but I would still like to know about Military Law and Adultery.

It sounds like a pretty good topic for discussion.

Adultery goes against the militaries code of conduct and is punishable under military law. There's not much to discuss about it.

I have always found it interesting that potus is considered the militaries commander but aren't held responsible or punished under military law but they aren't technically potus isn't an active member of the military so it's complicated.

What is the punishment for adultery under military law?

How do they prove it, etc...

Is it actually enforced?

I'm just curious.

Yes its enforced. Military justice is different from civilian, proof varies, punishment can be dishonorable discharge or if you're allowed to stay in you get a pay grade taken and a letter in your file that will make it difficult to promote.

Most men do not cheat because something is wrong with their wife (and vice-versa). They cheat because they have an inferiority complex, and they constantly have to have their egos stroked (ha) to make them feel worthy. My son-in-law had multiple affairs, and my daughter kept saying, "But she's not even cute." True, my daughter was much prettier than any of them, but that's not what it's about. If he had Cindy Crawford, he'd want Claudia Schiffer.

What I would find odd about that, would be a wife would not report that, or even want that known, because if she stayed with the husband it would hurt her income, and if she left him, it would hurt her child support.

It's the same thing with domestic violence and child abuse in the miliitary and law enforcement.

It's why I find all of that pretty interesting.

Since when do women need a man to survive? I would rather be alone, struggling to make ends meet than put up with a cheater or an abuser.

Well, sure, but abusers don't stop abuse after a divorce. They keep going, and going and going...like the ever ready bunny.

In fact, the most dangerous part is leaving. It's still another reason to hide the adultery, or abuse. It's also a tactic used by those in authority, and military and law enforcement (ones that abuse anyway) will use any means needed. Financial is just one other form of abuse.

So a spouse would have to go through the embarassment, loss of income for she and her child. If she is the one that told...messed up his career, she is really going to be in danger of retaliation, so she would be inclined to hide it anyway.

That's a ridiculous way to think. I should hope that most women would be smart enough to realize an abuser will eventually kill her and getting out is her best defense. You can be protected and if the police won't protect them I hope she's smart enough to put a bullet between his eyes. If there is a paper trail of abuse she'll have no issues at trial. I'm not really sure of your point, you make it seem like a woman shouldn't leave a man abusing her. If she wants to report him to his commander then so be it, if not there's always the mistress or maybe a fellow soldier will report them. There's more than one person that can report infidelity. The military is supposed to be built on integrity.

Once again it must be known that abuse comes in many forms besides physical. There is emotional which can make even the most beautiful women feel ugly. I know a woman whose husband cheated on her with someone that no one could believe due to so many levels. His wife is one of the prettiest women I know but he had her beat down so low that she felt ugly. When in fact the mistress was not even attractive. Point in hand he had the power over her. Eventually she stood up and left. Met a nice handsome man. Very happy now. These women are beaten in more ways than physical. Abuse takes many faces and all men that abuse are cowards in my book.

Abusers always get their way. They are the best liars around. They are usually pretty likable. It does not mean he will always kill her or him. It means they will continue to get by with torture, even if they use the kids to hurt the other parent.
If she puts a bullet between his eyes, she will go to prison, and probably his family will get the kid, because the poor mother was mentally ill and all.

No one reports infidelity. They figure it is none of their business.

Things are supposed to be built on integrity, but they are not. Politics are supposed to be built on integrity but they are not. Law is supposed to be built on integrity, and so is marriage and parenthood.

Some people are good, and some just look good.

Financial abuse....causing cars to break down, causing computers to break down, causing refridgerators to break down, right after getting groceries,GPSing phones and cars, causing problems at work, causing problems at home, so you have to leave work, false reports on them that interferes with work...

Causing rumors at work, so that someone will fire you is just another form of financial abuse. It's interfering in someones ability to support themselves and their families.

You're way of thinking is twisted. If someone is beating the hell out of someone and that person is 80-100 lbs more you can defend yourself legally with whatever means necessary. If the abuse is another form, prove it. If you can prove abuse in any form you and the children can be protected. People do reportit. I've seen it, it happens everywhere from fast food joints to the military. People lose their jobs because they are banging subordinates, happens all the time and sometimes its a partner of one of the accused and sometimes its another co worker that caught them messing around in the back room. It happens a lot but they get away with It sometimes.

I'm still not sure why youre trying to make it seem like its so hard to leave an abusive relationship. Ive succeeded, why shouldt someone else?
