They also used to have a powerhouse volleyball program until Frankye Sessums retired and that other coach took over. Those girls no have no Heart in the matter, so sad that it went from State known to barely getting out of district!!!

Prairiland is at bad as it comes. If you not the coaches son or daughter or a friend of them you had better hang it up...Coach Duncan is the worse...if you dont have the right name then you wont be in the game

THAT IS NOT TRUE AT ALL. I AM AN ALUMNI OF PRAIRILAND AND IT IS THE BEST SCHOOL IN THE COUNTY. I THOUGHT THIS IS A PLACE TO TELL GOOD THINGS ABOUT PARIS AND IT'S SURROUNDING AREAS - NOT DRAG PEOPLE THRU THE MUD??? PRAIRILAND HAS A GREAT SPORTS PROGRAM - AND THE BEST LOOKING FACILITES THIS WITHIN 100 MILES. THE STUDENTS THERE MAKE THE BEST GRADES AND ARE VERY SUCCESSFUL. IF YOU ARE TALKING TRASH YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT GOES ON THERE!

I think P.Land is a good school. It is esp. good IF you are born INTO it and from that area. If by chance you move into the district by Jr. High or High School, then you are put OUT TO PASTURE. You do not and will not fit in or be accepted....esp. if you are not a big athlete.

i wasn't "born" into Pland - had no relatives working there or serving on the school board and i loved it. i loved the small school, everyone knows everyone thing and that i was just who i was and not a athletic, or nerd, or whatever. i was involved in many different things during school and liked that "crossing boundaries" was not a big deal.

well i moved to Blossom last year and my children transferred to Pland the last semester of the school year (i was really nervous because they have always went to NL). My son is a junior this year and my daughter started junior high. I have to tell you, it was the best move we ever made. My son is an athlete and an awesome student and was welcomed by coaches, teachers, and students. However, my daughter doesn't like sports and was just as welcomed by everyone and not outcasted at all for being "non-sporty". At NL my daughter almost failed all 3 TAKS tests, and after moving to Pland (the teachers are fantastic) they worked with her and she got Commended on two of the three TAKS and was rewarded with a trip to Medieval times. Most of the kids at the schools seem to be great. We have had many of the High school and junior high kids in our home and they are very respectful. I just wish we had made the transition a lot sooner.

coach duncan is a good coach if your son does not get any playing time its not favorites its probably because he does not prove himself in practice and yes a few of the boys on varsity have coaches as dads or close friends but they are the ones who get worked the hardest and they are outstanding players. More is expected out of them. I moved here last year and i absolutely love it. I was one of the young varsity players last year, and we are going to have a very strong team this year and next.

The thing that just baffles me is that TONY DUNCAN is teaching Speech!!!! Oh well, just goes to show you that Prairiland Adm. are only concerned with hiring UNQUALIFIED and UNCERTIFIED teachers. Also, just want to warn 'yall that a special election to increase school taxes is set for October 3rd. Please come to meeting on 9/18/[email protected] 7pm in Adm. Bld.

Well I certainly know what goes on there, and just wanted to inform you that "It's the best looking facility" because of bullsh**t tax rates! And the embarassing thing is that our school has never gone to state in football--that new stadium is now falling apart---you call others clueless. If you are so informed, then tell me the last time PHS football ever won anything? I think the closest we ever got was a tie on the bi-district playoff. Nothing would tickle me more to be wrong about that. EVERYONE VOTE NO to the proposed tax increase!!!!
