“We really need people to let us know they are coming,” said Kelly Shurbet, co-chairman of the Communications Committee of the Diversity Task Force of Paris, the sponsoring organization."

Also from article"

Who cares? The only people going to that thing are a handful of old white people and some uncle toms who all agree with each other in the first place. Whats there to discuss? Thats why they keep begging for people to sign up.

concerned about the last paragraph and the people whom they claim to be trained facilitators. Is that Jerry Coyle the same person in Clarksville mess? If so, what kind of diversity are they forming there and what are they facilitating?

Its neither good or bad. Just a group of public officials and their uncle toms sitting and eating and pretending you don't have a race problem in Paris. Meanwhile your towns racism is exposed at every turn. Racism in Paris is in the news more than Dallas and Ft Worth.

The Dallas Times Herald would have to have a complete section devoted to such allegations! They focus on the real news, other wise you would be trying to make a name for yourself there and not here.

If racism is being exposed at every turn, does that mean you are constantly exposing yourself?

You can call it what you want, but there are people putting forth an effort to help fix a problem, and I bet no one will be pointing a bullhorn in someone else's face.

I looked him up and he is an attorney from the Dallas area, but also listed here in Paris it seems.

Sorry, the other person whose name is the same, but I think spelled differently.

If BJ was there, its a sign that election time is near because you never see or hear from him unless he is trying to get your vote.. What a joke. They must have held the meeting at a domino hall to get him there !

Dallas and Ft Worth newspapers have donated quite a bit of space to Paris racism in the past few years. Paris racists have made a name for themselves everywhere.

What problem are they trying to fix? No they won't be pointing a bullhorn in anyones face or aking any critical questions. They'll just be smiling at each other and eating. Marva Joe, who is head of the thing, has put in the paper a number of times that the problem is outsiders and black parents. Black parents arent any worse than white ones and other than the handful of uncle toms, black parent's don't show up for that thing. Its a free country so Marva can't stop outsiders from coming to Paris or writing about Paris. She certainly can't stop me. Not a single one of those involved are capable of teaching anyone about diversity. They're not diverse themselves. Mark Homer thinks because he hires some blacks at the Sonic, he's diverse. Marva thinks because she chooses white over black, she's diverse. Mary Clark thinks because she says Mary and Marva, shes diverse. Kenneth and Jason Rogers are taking this as an opportunity to get in the news and get money because they're unemployed other than the church and what they've gotten out of Turner Industries. They also long for notoriety. They've spoken up on behalf of Turner and now Turner has admitted guilt. That makes anyone calling themselves a diversity task force look like hypocrites and idiots. What problem are they trying to fix?????

I'm sorry, but when did Turner admit guilt? Everything I have read states the they deny all the allegations.
