QUESTION

Does anyone know who does window tint in Paris besides Potter and Chad's and the guy at Jenkins detail? I would like to get a metal tint that's dark enough to actually block the sun.

There is some crazy Texas law that will only let you tint it so dark. Beyond a certain point, it's illegal. Yet another way the state is violating your privacy rights.

There are many vehicles in Paris that are tinted beyond what the law allows. Yet no one ever makes them change it. I would bet the reason most of them do it has very little to do with blocking the sun and more to do with being unable to see inside.

Its not technically violating your privacy rights, its a number of things like them being able to see if the person driving and/or the passenger is wearing their seat belt. Or if they are puffing on that kush. Or gettin brain.....that is illegal on the road.

Yes true there are many cars out there with darker than legal tint. Its really unfair! But there are laws limiting how dark you can tint. It is not only the police that can stop you and ticket you for being below the limit, but some inspection stations that abide by the law will NOT inspect your vehicle until it is legal. Its not a viaolation to your privacy when its on public roads. There are other laws being enforced in order to drive those public roadways also. Un fair as you might think they are, they do keep us all safe.

Some of them keep most of us safe SOME of the time so at best your argument holds true only to a certain extent. By what stretch of the imagination is tinting a public safety issue? I don't know of any wrecks caused because other people can't see into your vehicle.

Officers have been shot becuase they couldn't see into the vehicle windows as they approached the vehicle. But as far as PUBLIC SAFETY...I was referring to tinting is not the ONLY law being enforced on the PUBLIC roadways....and yes they do keep us all safe. Lets imagine you were in a hit and run accident and you couldn't get license plate but perhaps you could have described them if you could see them.........Im just imagining here tho

Yea! I just got my windows tinted at Phat Daddys Tint & Audio. My vehicle
looks good and I can tell the windows have been tinted! John was there for the appointment even before time and he called the night before to confirm the appointment. He did everything he said he would do. This is the best tint job that I have gotten. He is very professional and I am pleased that my question on this site found him. Thank you!

Just bought a new truck and am working here and Paris. I talked to Potter and Chad's I guess the same as Sunmaster Plus, is there something wrong with these guys? Would I be better off waiting till I get back to Austin?
