Once again, no names called, don't know this woman, I took action on my end by controlling what's son sees from our home. If its "narrowed" down to the point that people know who I'm speaking of then it IS an obvious issue and by now I'm sure it has been brought to the correct people's attention. My "agenda" was to bring to the forefront the discretionary acts post on personal profiles that are public! Accomplished!
You're the one with the concern. What makes you sure it's been brought to the correct people's attention? If you weren't willing to do it, why do you think anybody else would? HYPOCRITE!

Because it obviously doesn't bother them, they have, or they're a hypocrite. Whatever it is, it's this "concerned" mom who started posting this BS. She's a pot stirring that's it. Oh, but I'm sure she'll be first in line at church in the morning.

Thank you for giving me instructions on what to do. I won't do it however.
What I didn't make clear was that this happened to a woman with a past not good and it was found on you tube by some of the same kinds of kids being talked about here.
That you couldn't connect the dots doesn't disturb or surprise me.
Most parents let their children look at any and everything on the t.v. and computer. They might have even found it on the school's computer.
You're referencing a situation where the woman's past was in question. This instance is about current behavior. You've connected dots that don't connect.

That's the Paris way. Judge not, unless you do it on a day that ends with the letter y.
Don't bear false witness unless you can get away with it.

Oh my god, seriously?!?! Just because she is a teacher doesnt mean that her life has to end. If you have a problem with what she puts on HER facebook, block and delete her off your sons facebook. Easy fix, you dont have to come to topix to get a opinion on the right thing to do. Lord, give her a break if I worked around kids day in day out, id prolly need a few drinks myself. Just shutup already and take care of it.

whiny/self righteous twit. The problems with alcohol in our country start with this extreme taboo feeling towards it by uptight people like you. Instead of sheltering your kids from something they most likely will be trying soon anyway, explain to them moderation and control. Demonizing alcohol will only drive them further to it in highschool.

There should be a rule about teachers having students as fb friends. What purpose could it possibly serve to let your students in on your personal fb?

I haven't gone anywhere.....I just sat back, had a few drinks (DID NOT POST THEM ALL ON MY PUBLIC FB PAGE THOUGH), missed church today, oh wait, because I don't go to church,(doesn't mean I don't have faith though), had a long discussion with my son about what adults do and that it is ok to drink responsibly as an adult but it's really not "cool" to promote it publicly, espicially when you TEACH young children. AND, I sat back and read all the angry post from you guys calling names and saying I'm a hag, prude....and what ever else. You guys are so easily angered by someone with an opinion. Think I'll have a beer and NOT post it on facebook, cause like my son said...I'm just cool that way.

When my kids were at Paris High School, there was a male teacher there who smoked weed with the teens who did that sort of thing. Three other male teachers were having open affairs, and two married principals were having affairs with teachers who were in their buildings. For years things like adultry and alcoholism were kept under wraps because the principals and teachers could loose their contracts, but these days people just don't care what others are doing, so it's more open.
As far as FB is concerned, I think the school districts should encourage the teachers not to friend their students. Those who do friend them should be careful what's being portrayed to young people. If parents have children whose teachers are presenting themselves in a light that's questionable, then the parent should monitor their own kids and keep them from looking at those FB pages.

LOL! "I won't post it on FB, but I'll post it on Topix where it will reach far more people than the few friends on my FB account." Just what IS your IQ?

I must agree! Why not go to administration or just simply talk to the woman about it. To be honest, if it doesn't involve the school, it's her own personal business. It may not be proper or ethical but it is her business if no laws are violated and no policy is broken.

My IQ is high enought to know that my FB page is my personal page, with my picture, name, friends, etc....couldn't care less if any of you know I had a beer here or on FB but I'm not gonna post a picture of it everytime I have a drink. Do you know who I am here? NO!! The teachers FB page is PUBLIC!!! Children and adults alike can see EVERYTHING she puts on it! Now THAT'S smart! NOT!! Topix is anonymous, FB is not. Of course I'm sure that teacher's IQ is much higher than mine!

I agree, and I have blocked her FB from being able to be seen, as I stated more than once in my posts.

I'm far from miserable, I love my family, I have lived in Paris all my life and "HATE" is a very strong word to use toward someone just stating an opinion. "HATE".....is a word used by miserable people.

So it's OK for You to drink in front of your child - but wrong for someone else to post a picture of themselves drinking. You are a hipocritical ho. It's obvious you are jealous of her and her life/ What happened did you get pregnant at 15 or are you just ass ugly? Go be cool and drink some more you closet alkie.
