actually just read about some businesses on eParis extra:
-Skinner bought Sara Lee plant and will be upgrading plant and hiring
- Pizza hut and 2 other stores bought Furrs
- am sure you know about schlosky's deli by Rusty Taco
- denny's and a sandwich shop are being built by Home Depot
- Wing Stop is being built somewhere too but I can't recall where, maybe in old CiCi's?

Lots of restaurants, but alas no Target!

Those are not business's coming to paris those are business coming back to paris. We have had all those resturants before but wing stop.we really need industry here to boost the economy not a fast food restraunt. In the end it amounts that we didnt create a job we just got back old we had once before.

How many more industries would you like? We have Kimberly Clark, Campbell Soup, Skinner (soon), Turner, the power plant, etc

We have lost Pais industries,Sara Lee, Sesame seed plant, most of rogers and wade, and many more in the last 20 years and we have to replace those jobs.Replacing a 100jobs for 20 is not going to work. Its proven that the current industries here can substain the population.I agree some job are better than none but Taco's and wings are not going to fix the situation here.

The new travel plaza will not have their prices on gas dictated by the local oil company that has been responsible for keeping local gas prices so high for several years. Finally we might see some competition. I hope they offer ethanol-free gas from at least one pump!

Yes technically that's true, but am sure it is not the same franchise owners as the previous restaurants so although it's the same chain, not really the same business. I agree that Paris needs something other than an increase in fast food places. If you take a good look around, it's apparent that the residents of Paris should be eating out a little less.

Why have more small business any kind are that matter any paris never have and never will support the small business the people of paris would support a large business like the one going out on the loop instead of a small business i have seen this first hand no matter how cheap are how good u do the job small business does not get supported here

A little punctuation would make your paragraph more understandable....

People will shop where it's convenient, when the prices are good and the products are desirable. It's not like the people of Paris sit around and discuss how they will not shop at some new small business, and rally to 'not support' it. If a small business doesn't do well here, it's because the business didn't have a good business plan. Small businesses will always be at the mercy of convenience - walmart (because we're there anyway buying groceries) and amazon (delivered to your doorstep).

What is the business that just opened last week east of Whataburger on North Main? It used to be a scrapbooking place, then a steak place. Anybody know??????
