I was at Walmart earlier and seen a woman drop her less than 6month old baby. I just wanted to know what else happened. Is the baby OK

So did she throw the baby on the ground or accidentally drop the baby... Your saying two totally different things here!

I don't see how it could have been an accident.... the baby fell on her head and didn't even try to catch her. Wtf!! And then when the paramedics were there. She wasn't crying or anything. Just looking at the baby saying Shh your OK.. if it was me I would have been frantic. I mean what kind of mother does that!!

You know sometimes babies that age arch their backs and lean back hard. It could have been something like that. But I agree I would have been a basket case. Praying for that poor baby to be okay.

Somebody had spilled something on the floor. The woman's husband was smearing it around with his foot. He didn't tell her and she fell. The baby flew out of her arms as she fell. Of course it wasn't on purpose, it was an accident. He should have felt like a total loser because it was kind of the dad's fault.

Your post is so condemning. She did fall on the shampoo and that was not the mom telling the baby to shhhh. I know the babies sisters and if I'm not mistaken that was the grandmother or some relative. It was a horrible accident. Even strangers were trying to calm the child. What I would be worried about was the Walmart managers standing around with a dumbfounded look on their faces, like 'what do we do?????' Even if it was the mother telling the child to calm down, she was trying to remain calm. What good is a mother yelling and screaming. The child's health was at the focal point. I just pray the child is OK.

When my kid is hurt I say shhh its ok or you're ok even if I know it could be serious and I do that to not make the situation worse. Consider being a baby and the one person you trust more than anyone in the world is freaking out. Freaking out is not being a good mom in fact its being a horrible mom because you're only creating more stress for your baby. Being a good mom means having the self control to think more about your child than to lose control and not be a stable, comforting figure for them when they need you most.

I hope the baby and mom are ok. I fell in a puddle at home when mine was younger and managed to keep him safe but not without seriously injuring myself.

EXACTLY! When my daughter was bit by a stray dog (13 points of contact) I was freaking out. Finally the nurse grabbed me and told me to calm the heck down. I wasn't doing anyone any good, especially my daughter.

there was shampoo on the floor, not sure how it got there, but she was carrying the infant. She walked across the shampoo and slipped. It all happened in a split second. She was on the floor as was the baby. That poor thing was crying that bone chilling 'im really hurt ' cry. We can only hope everything is OK.

Hope someone got pictures. BTW, store managers are not supposed to show emotion, as it just makes the store seem more guilty. Nothing personal, just their job.

Pictures for some legal recourse or pictures just to see a hurt baby? I reeeeallly hope it's the former, the less despicable of the two.

Of course for proof they didn't cause the spill to begin with. Goes without saying.

If the dad was smearing the stuff on the floor, I would be asking him WHY?

I saw a store video once where this woman was in an aisle all by herself. She looked around to see if anyone was looking. When she didn't see anyone, she carefully,(s he was an extremely obese black woman ) sat down and then rolled over on her back and started yelling. She was trying to set it up for a lawsuit. Idiot didn't know there was cameras. lol

That's really curious, why was he smearing whatever it was ? They do have cameras for practically every square foot of the store & parts of the parking lots.
They will definitely be reviewing the security tapes & could ultimately have him prosecuted for causing the injuries to his wife & baby, if he is in fact the reason this incident occurred.
