Unfortunately some women have no sense of dignity even when pregnant. Some continue to consume alcohol, pills, pot, even meth and beyond while pregnant and thier baby will suffer for it. I can only hope they feel guilty and not angry when thier child is born miserable and going through withdrawal, that is assuming the baby lives.

Guilty makes them smoke more to forget about it and FEEL better.

If you can gossip about the problems, why not spend some time looking for the solutions?

Not only do they abuse their own bodies while preggo, but unfortunately they are harming the bodies of a baby who didn't even choose to be born. This generation of "mamas" and their "baby daddies" make me sick. Selfish, immature, unreliable, uncaring spoiled brats having their jollies, gettting pregnant, shelling out innocent babies, then dumping them on whomever! DISGUSTING.

They are. How do you create selfish monsters? Teaching them greed instead of character.
Teaching them money instead of worth.
Teaching them there is a pill for anything that bothers you.
Teaching pills instead of coping skills.
Teaching win instead of sportsmanship.
Labeling and not encouraging.
Guilting and shaming instead of encouraging.

Generations have shown that the one who is the abuser of medications or anything else is the winner, and the one who does things the right way is the Loser. Making things as hard as possible for the ones who do things the right way.

The name of the game is survival for me. What a lesson plan.

Ha! so it's the parent's fault, huh? It's the fault of the teachers, coaches, grandparents, daycare workers, too, huh? How about putting SOME responsibility on the shoulders of the 18+ year olds who weren't raised to be trash, but act like it?

Ha, it is a systemic failure and people who want to see other people fail (other than themselves--selfish).

We as a society (in general)encourage that, and keep others down to lift our own sorry selves up.

Many make bad choices for sure. Drinking exessively and drug abuse, legal or not are some of them.

So many people make decisions that they don't have to deal with the consequences of. Not just alcoholics and drug abusers either.

So what could/should one do if they know someone who is doing this? What are some solutions to this selfish, disgusting, and sad problem? Would it work? What are the consequences?

If they're doing illegal drugs they could be set up for a bust by calling crime stoppers but if it's legal well then nothing can be done until they give birth and then thier baby could be taken away and they charged criminally but look at the crackhead from tulsa that was convicted only after having several babies born addicted to cocaine. So, so sad. Poor babies. I was afraid to take Tylenol when I was pregnant, I can't even imagine what type of women it must take to ingest something they know is harmful to thier unborn baby.

This is probably gossip. Anytime someone gets mad at someone else they say they are on drugs. But there are solutions. If you have questions here is where you find answers. http://www.nationaldec.org/

Keep in mind, that anytime anyone leaves an abusive partner, or a husband in certain groups around here these rumors circulate maliciously in an effort to cause the person problems.

I don't know if it is a Paris thing or a rural thing, but it is for sure a problem here.

And if you are going through the false accusations of drug use/abuse, here is your answer.

Cost that liar as much as you can to be a liar, and insist on hair sample first, then twice a week drug testing at the ex's expense.

That will stop a liar from lying again. About 120 dollars a week for a month is 480.

The state should NOT be paying for these stupid high conflict divorces. Neither should the kids.

Just a bit of that would start to fix the problem. If there actually is a problem it should stop it too.

Any of these liars should be prosecuted, or sued.

Usually the mother. If no one protects the mother then usually the child is as vulnerable as the mom.

These babies spend 9 months in their mothers womb, and they have a bond way before anyone has seen those tiny fingers. There are aches and pains you have never had before, and each thing that is unusual with your body produces an anxiety of what is wrong with my baby.

You are so far off point, did you even read the comments?

I read the comments, and I know how these people abuse information. It is not off topic.

If drug testing is done, it is the doctors responsibility to report it, because they have "the facts" not the allegations.

The allegations are used to create doubt in people so they can have their kids taken away. Facts lie with the doctors, if you actually read post 17.

It's kind of the way it works.

Now let's do the list.

#1 Suggest that the GAL present the mother with the idea of court ordered random drug testing twice per month at her expense (unless of course it's positive). Make sure they tell her that she will be required to pay that expense until the child is 18. Suggest that the mothers reaction will tell them everything they need to know.

#2 Take email, text messages, anything that shows she has asked you to take the child for additional time.(If this is part of a court process you may need to give copies of documentation to her before seeing the GAL - You can always add other stuff to her pack so that she can wonder what you're going to do with it?). The point here is that if she was really concerned about child neglect, drug use, drinking, these would have been issues years ago and she would not have asked you to spend more time with your child. The things she has accused you of did not pop up overnight. They are long term issues that she would have been well aware of. Also, question why she didn't call child protective services years ago? Was she really concerned?

#3 I assume you don't have any DUI's. That being said, offer to not drink when you have the child. Period. No matter how much you love a beer or two, figure out what's important to you. I'm guessing time with your child.

What you should have done by this time is convince the GAL that they need to talk to mom and confront her to see her reaction. She will not want to pay $100/month for a test she knows will be negative. Why do that when she can do nothing and leave doubt?

Finally, ask that you be given back the time you lost due to the investigation so that you can rebuild the bonds with your child

http://www.articlesbase.com/divorce-articles/...

Now read this one again:

What you should have done by this time is convince the GAL that they need to talk to mom and confront her to see her reaction. She will not want to pay $100/month for a test she knows will be negative. Why do that when she can do nothing and leave doubt?

The doubt is what people want. They don't want the facts. The facts will get them in trouble for starting crap and endangering children, and it should.
