Anyone know of any nice houses for rent in or around Paris area? New to town and not having any luck finding anything other than junk! Dont want to buy a house due to a possible transfer. Please help!

There are no decent houses for rent around the $500.00 range which is what we are looking for. The ones in the paper around that price are falling down.
wondering

Unfortunately property taxes & the expense of maintaining decent, clean housing makes it pretty hard to rent out newer homes for the $500 range. It's gonna be hard for you to find ANYTHING at that price, unless it's small & run down. We keep our rental rates low enough people can afford to stay, and even at that we show a loss overall. Sometimes it's cheaper to leave the home vacant, than to have to repair damages & collect full rent on time.
where are your properties listed?

If you are C Justice then all of your rentals are dumps! Some of yal are missing out on good renters that pay on time and take care of property ; rather jack up the rent and have someone come in pay it a couple of months , trash it an leave.

Nope, not C Justice. I will agree with your assumption of her properties though, they really are awful. I, personally, can't see how the health dept & whoever doesn't shut her down.
Perhaps we may someday provide your family with your housing needs, as you see, I have references FROM our tenants.
I looked in the DS and didn't find much. Do you not have a website or contact information I could contact?

What exactly are you looking for?
Right now I have a 2/1 & a 3/2.
As much sq ft as possible, either 3 or 2 brd. Prefer older house since they have more character and room.

All I can say is you need to look & then decide. Go to oodles, com then to the Paris, Tx area rentals. There are some pics there. Then if you are interested contact me late afternoon/evenings. I request an application be filled out & references. It goes both ways, a good landlord gets excellent tenants.
the only pics are of room mates looking to rent a room,, why dont you just say where your houses are?
nope

I'm sorry if that's the case, but they are on that website.
There are homes for sale. Terrible website, imo. Didn't show me anything and I am a great tenant looking for a place. Hope you get better response from that DS ad, wherever that is.

I believe you get what you pay for! I would be willing to pay $900-$1,000 mth if clean and up-dated. Unfortunately you have to know the right people in Paris b/c nothing in the paper is anything I would be interested in!

That's dumb to pay that kind of money in rent, don't care who you are or who you know.

Just remember, there are decent landlords out there, but there are far more people who will say & do practically anything to get accepted as a tenant, only to become a nightmare after they move in. These are the ones best left to go down their list & continue looking for a rent home.
I've had applicants swear they are " the best paying tenant ever* well, except for them evictions -plural-" & "never cause any drama* except when me & the wife, gf or whoever - just got a bit loud & the dunb interfering neighbors called the police - and now we are on probation, but that's not bad, cause it was just a little misunderstanding." & "they'll take wonderful care of the home*" except when they don't have a running mower, or gas for out, or time to take the trash out of the storage area & put it in the trash dumpsters. Some of them are pretty crafty, tell me straight to my face, " aw, you won't find anything negative on us - they are the ones with reports a half a mile long.
They proved to be disingenuous at absolutely every thing they said Now, I do thorough application checks & reference requirements, to avoid that type of aggravation.
It's not easy to evict a young family, but when they don't pay rent, yet have plenty of beer & cigarettes, I can't feel sorry for their situation(too much).
Do you have anything open right now? If you do can you tell me how many bedrooms/baths and how much per month/deposit?

Just so you know, I am not her. As a matter of fact, I don't even know her or anything about her.
Saw your properties listed, they look nice. Would you consider a little lower on either to a great renter with solid references?
