Professional Wrestling is the only TRUE sport left. Baseball, football, basketball are all FAKE! Now that we've established that fact, I think The Undertaker will win again at WrestleMania. I think HHH will regain the Belt soon. I think we'll see Christian return to the WWE. I predict that Sting will leave the Main Event Mafia on TNA. Melina will hold womens title for a while. Orton defeats Shane. Any thoughts?

True, UFC is real. I'm amazed though at UFC's rise in popularity. See, WWE has it all. It is like a soap opera with ACTION! In UFC, there is no opera... no soap... Just a bunch of guys trying to hurt one another. It doesn't appeal to me... Wrestling appeals to me because it is a classic portrayal of Good vs. Evil , Faces vs. Heels. This sort of appeals to my theological inclinations....

Okay... So good so far... HHH won the belt Sunday at No Way Out; they advertised tonight that Christian returns to ECW; Orton beat Shane. We'll have to see how it pans out for Sting thursday night. At this writing (9:20pm) Melina has yet to face Beth Phoenix. Melina will no doubt retain the belt. My best guess would be that she retains the belt by disqualification with interference coming from Phoenix's camp...
We'll see.....

....my big sister especially loved wrestling and tried it out on me one night...and broke my arm!

Anyone remember that rumor that the Von Erichs lived in Commerce? I remember that house everyone thought they lived in!

I thought it was true too but I was pretty young then so I am not sure I ever found out for sure...

Well I grew up and got a little tougher and stood up to my sister...probably right after I got braces and she popped me in the mouth...that was the last time she picked on me :o)

...and I promise I am not 6 foot, 250 pound hair lip dyke either. hahaha!!! Just a little stick of dynamite, tee hee hee.

I have the UTMOST respect and admiration for our very brave men and woman in uniform! They sacrifice so much! I know Killeen gets a bad rap (that is where I live) because it is a large military town to Ft Hood but i love it! Very patriotic and so awesome to be apart of it all. I still get chills when I see Black Hawk helicopters fly over my house or the USAF C5 Galaxy fly over...which is frequent!!! When they do that I tell my girls to wave and say THANK YOU SOLDIER!!

I saw a tv special all about Andre the Giants life AND really enjoyed it. It brings back so many fond memories just hearing the names of Bill Mercer, Bruiser Brody, and Kabuki! Who was so famous for the sleeper hold? What was the managers name for all the bad guys? Thank you, Kool J, for a wonderful thread!

Here is my take on Wrestling today: Vince McMahon, love him or hate him, has revolutionized the business. You now have Monday night RAw, Fridat Night Smackdown, and Tuesday night ECW- all WWE owned. Vince has been really shrewed in that they have been "crossing over" between the three shows for some time now. You are likely to see ECW wrestles on RAW and vice versa... This just makes it more comlicated to follow, and thus more appealing. It is like a soap opera that not only has fighting and major drama (even if it is just a bunch of smack-talking), BUT, the soap opera comes on three times a week, and is three separate soap operas intermingled. If that isn't enough for you, now you have TNA wrestling thursday nights. It really used to suck and was low budget. However, over the last couple of years, TNA has grown, and many of the veterans and established wrestlers have defected to TNA, even though some of them lost their jobs due to steroid abuse. You get the feeling from watching TNA, that TNA doesn't care. Interestingly, on TNA, the main core group, The Main Event Mafia, has Sting and Kevin Nash (both aged 50), Scott Steiner (age 47) and Booker T and Kurt Angle who are both getting up there in age. Believe it or not, all of these guys are still slamming! I think that that appeals to people- having these iconic legends. With a few exceptions in the other sports like the occasional Brett Favre, you just don't see that...
