I have to agree, Paris needs to grow up and quit being a giant bunch of hypocrites. They lie cheat and steal and as long as they think no one knows, and they go to church on sunday then it is okay to be so vocal about others short coming when they are exposed. Guess the more vocal ones are afraid if they dont then people will look at them and find out their secrets. Everyone in this town does. Makes me want to go find them out and post for all to see. IT wouldnt be that hard either since everyone here talks so much.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

Spoken with just the right degree of contempt. lol. Sounds like bitterness to me. Like a woman that NO ONE in their right mind would ever proposition for s e x, in fact they would run the other way even if it was offered for free!

Oh, btw get a clue he was trying to rent a hooker for probably about 20 minutes, never mind he was from paris more like 5 minutes, frustration will do that to a guy.

It's pretty pathetic everyone on here has convicted him solely because of bein accused. He's innocent until PROVEN guilty and is accused of "soliciting prostitution" - not child molestation. To do so is idiotic. Saying a Christian is incapable of sin or a Christian sinning invalidates the faith is equally idiotic. Being a Christian makes one saved from going to hell, not in capable of sin. One saying that this, even if he's proved guilty, invalidates all church/Christianity, is simply a convenient cop-out for someone not serious about faith anyway.

Ok ... regardless of the religion or being human... someone that makes that decision should not be in a leadership position at a church!!!

Child molestation is not even an issue here....he went all the way to Graves county to have sex with a prostitute....end of story. It doesn't matter what title you carry, it's illegal, and the fact that he is a pastor makes it even more pathetic! I don't know him, but heard he is married with a young baby. I feel sorry for his wife because I have been in her shoes....evidently she wasn't enough! Shame on him for bringing shame to his family!!

I think we still do this in Paris. Paris is stuck in the 1600's.

I do know Brian & his family. Please pray for him & the family. Before this no one would have ever imagined Brian would be in this situation. He is a man and made a mistake. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Everyones sin is different. It is only by God's grace that our sins are not news worthy. Praying for Brian, his family, the church, youth that Brian has taught and everyone who has been affected by this.

As a long-term member of this church, A poor choice was made and he is no longer employed with the church. However, that is not where the problem stops. There are MANY Christian men who deal with this problem on some level - not soliciting for sex- but as simple as internet porn, lust after another man's wife, etc. This is a REAL problem in our society and churches (NO church is immune).
Prayer is needed for this family, for this church, for our country.

Sorry. Poor decision making isn't a mistake. It's a bad decision. Mistakes are for math. Hookers are bad decision making.

I think it would do everyone some good to just stop talking about this. No one knows who, what, when, where, why or how the whole thing came about so stop assuming that you know everything because you don't. Stop saying that this is why the church is suffering because its not, it's suffering because people are so self-centered and think they are to good for church and replace it with other things like sports. Don't point out the sin of someone just because you think it's "worse" than anything you've done, no sin is greater or less than another. His life is not ruined forever, yes it's changed forever but that doesn't mean it is ruined. If this happened to your son, husband, brother or really close friend would you really want to hear people talking about it like this? No, so stick to your own business and worry about the sin in your own life not about the guy down the street.

This is exactly why the church is suffering. But I don't view it as a bad thing. Actions like this act as a trigger for people to actually question exactly what it is they believe in, and why. That initial betrayal is obviously devastating, but once one works through it, and they begin to realize that their entire belief system is a sham, they can get on with the business of being human. That is my hope for this "pastor," and his congregants. Religion sets you up for failure from the outset. None of you can, nor will, measure up to what it demands of you. Simply striving for it isn't enough. Living a li(f)e, preparing for death is no way to live.

Sinner - First of all, shame on you for judging someone. Yes, Brian has been accused of doing something wrong. Guess what? Your doing something wrong by talking negatively about someone else. So quit throwing stones because you live in a glass house too. Your bitterness towards men of the cloth is evident. Message received.
By the way, my name is Brandon Wimberley (Brian's brother). I'm not afraid to hide my name while I make comments on this site, unlike most users on here.Honestly - I expected this topic to come up on this trashy website, which is a sorry excuse for an entertainment. I'd like to extend my gratitude to those of you who have not posted negative comments. You probably realize how hard this is on his/my family, unlike "Sinner among us" who apparently has no regard for other people's feelings. That person doesn't think about what challenges others are dealing with. I guess this person thought that, because they are anonymous, it is ok to belittle others. Most of us know it really isn't though.
Sinner: You sir or mam, would be much more appreciated if you would keep your mouth closed until you have all of the details. If you want to discuss FACTS, by all means feel free. But out of respect for others, I ask that you please do not display your ignorance and expose others to it. Atleast do not be a coward and hide behind a fake name. This is the only comment I will make on this site for my family's sake because they do not need any additional media embarassment added on due to their younger son that is not afraid to stand up to your crude, immature behavior. Yes, I admit I am very defensive about this and I will defend my family. Definitely when you are willing to post something on here, but you're scared to let it be known who you are. I love my brother and I know him better than you - so I don't need to read what you think. If you would like to discuss this further, you can get in touch with me. I'll be more than happy to hear from the coward behind the keyboard.
Sincerely
A Loving Brother

I thought the Bible promotes sex. Be fruitful and multiply.

These Churches that try to make sex out to be a bad thing are only doing the work of Satan.

Satan does not want you to have sex, God wants you to have sex.

Satan is working through the Church.

Beware of who you follow, for they may lead you down the wrong path.

Church is the wrong path.

Pray for him??? Pray for the girl who could only get a job as a prostitute. No one grows up wanting to be a Prostitute. The police have enough evidence to arrest him and the church has already let him go so..... Just be thankful it he was arrested now and not later. He was around children. I don't believe anyone would want him teaching their children!

Matthew 7:1-5
New Living Translation (NLT)

Do Not Judge Others
7 ďDo not judge others, and you will not be judged. 2 For you will be treated as you treat others.[a] The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.[b]

3 ďAnd why worry about a speck in your friendís eye[c] when you have a log in your own? 4 How can you think of saying to your friend,[d]ĎLet me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,í when you canít see past the log in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friendís eye.

Number 7 ::: thou shalt not commit adultery. It is simply amazing to me as I read all the supporting post for a man who lead a congregation of followers to a path of religion. A man who can not even live by his superior teachings. A man who also broke the law. We are taught to forgive and not to judge. It is however hard to hold back thoughts and words when one of who people look up to as a man of God strays from his on words. How many Christians are quick to defend from this sin but will stand in a million man march against other ones. I was taught all sins were equal. The fact is he sinned and broke the law. Im just wandering why some of the same people that are supporting him were preaching for biblical marriages a few months ago. Sounds to me like a town full of good ol religious Hippocrates to me. Go by the whole bible or not at all.
