I have had Mobile Nation for about 6 months now, and I LOVE it. Yes, their service can be spotty at times, but whose isn't. I have had Verizon, AT&T, tracfone, and Straight Talk, and I was very unhappy with all of them. To each his own I guess.
good for you

let me guess prepaid services? Cause with the cost of changing services outside of the contract time you would be one very very broke person.

When I was younger, I had prepaid by tracfone. Then, I had prepaid with Verizon. When I finally got a contract phone with Verizon, I can't complain due to service. You get better coverage with an actual contract phone than you can with prepaid. Prepaid is relatively cheap but you get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for. Get a plan, buy a used or refurbished smart phone when u need 2 upgrade that way you do not have to extend ur plan and are locked in to same pricing u signed up 4
The only thing that really works here is veriZon had sprint and loved it til i moved here switched after talking to alot of locals, if other worked you would c more of their stores and in peoples hands. And walmart does not count since they Carry all carriers across chains not local focus.

Am I? I'm not the one on here complaining about a prepaid service plan. I know what I say is true. I took that prepaid Verizon phone because it had money left on it and my contract Verizon phone and tested my theory. I got service in places with my contract phone that my prepaid Verizon phone did not get. As I said, you get what you pay for. You want a cheap unlimited everything plan well you're going to get cheap service.

Well i have had mobile nation for 2months. Ive been back to store 10 times. Service problem refund problem . Now as of yesterday the tethering stops every time i try to connect my tablet or puter. Was wondering if others are having problems? I have the lg opt. Says can tether up to 5 devices at one time. Am i asking too much? Guess i will visit 11times, but it dam sure wont be the milan store.

Their coverage is spotty. Their phones are crap. Their advertisement on the radio says that I can bring my own phone over to them with no exclusions implied. I go there and tell them I don't want to use the phone I bought from them anymore and I want to use my ATT iphone. They said that I cannot use it, which is blatant false advertising. If I were sue happy, I'd send them to the cleaners, but I like to work for my livelihood. Once my contract with them is up, I am taking my business somewhere else.

I have had mobile nation for four months now and its horrible. Constantly lose text msgs. People send them but I never get them or they show up hours even days later. Signal strength is weak all over the milan, tn area. Customer service is polite but ineffective. I am seriously considering dropping them and eating the 275 termination fee.

This service SUCKS!!!

I switched from Verizon to them about 6 months ago. Yeah it's a little cheaper and you get unlimited data, but they don't have 4G and the bandwidth is terrible. The only good thing is I have service at my house, where with Verizon I did not. Go figure though, I don't have service in the locations where Verizon did. I don't recommend them and will be going back to Verizon when my contract is up.

Thanks for posting everyone. I was seriously considering getting a no contract pro data line or $75 a month through mobile nation to use just for tethering purposes due to the unlimited data. Verizon eats my ass alive for data and I thought a dedicated line for use at home to tether and stream pandora would be well worth it but now I don't think so.

I had Verizon fora long time, then as I needed more minutes and texts, and adjusted my plan according, my bill approached $90 per month, and I did not even have a smart phone. I switched to Mobile Nation about 2 months ago, and I am very pleased.

PROS - I got a smart phone for free, unlimited data, talk, text, great customer service, with insurance on my phone my bill is $64 per month so it is a lot more economical than what I had with Verizon. Clear audio on calls, I am pleased with the service.

CONS - 3G so sometimes it feels like you have dial-up, and though I said I am pleased with the service, I will say there are spots the signal is a bit weaker than what I had with Verizon. This could be my imagination, or poor memory, but it seems this way. There should not be much if any difference since both providers use the CDMA on the same towers. The person in the store took care of switching my number and activating my phone.

People should know, you sign up for a 2 year contract, which is how you are able to get such nice phones for free or low cost. Mobile Nation is not month to month like TracFone or Straight Talk. However, they continue to run their incentive where they credit your account $100 when you switch, which should make up for the fee you pay if you are terminating your contract early with another provider.

Also, to be fair, I am in Paducah. But when I am in Paris and I use my phone, I have no problems. Good service.

Tucker, do you use your phone as a mobile hot spot? If so, how does your internet speed do? And I am confused, they advertise no contract, month to month plans and the phones are more expensive for these plans. Perhaps this is new? The plan I was interested in was the pro data plan for $75 a month. Thanks for your feedback.
