Can someone tell me where I can find info on their cut off rules. I see nowhere explaining how they are allowed to cut off home electric for nonpayment of a business even though it is being paid. Wonder if legal action can be done. With a lawyer from another area of course.

Regardless, I have decided to go with solar power. They will get no more money from me. Period

If I could figure it all out on how to do the solar thing I would have done did that, I need to read up on it, so they will not be getting any more money from me either.

quoted from Paris PI
" Etheridge told board members they would see,“larger swings in net income than we have in the past.”
"Etheridge told board members that February had been a good month financially for the BPU with the electric department showing a positive net income of $231,167."
it's all about the money...obviously.
so why dont all the ones tired of this company join together and set up solar energy and other options, everything is cheaper when done in bulk.

I had a bad experience with BPU recently. We have owned a business and a home for over 30 years. I applied to get a new unit installed and billed thru BPU and was denied. I have never ever been late on a payment on either place. The business bill averaged 1000.00 per month. Since we are at their mercy we have to put up with what ever they want to dish out. Wish we had options. Solar sounds wonderful. If anyone gets it going I would be interested.

Just read an article in the PI about how Nissan in Paris is giving away free electricity to charge your electric car. Here is the kicker, Mr. Lackey, the manager is also on the board at BPU. Wonder how he is able to give away electricity and how much his home bill is. Boycott Nissan in Paris! If you have a nissan, get it serviced elsewhere!

Imagine that! Very crooked people in Paris, Tn. Solar sounds very good. Stick it to BPU and Nissan/Paris. The solar panels of today are very good. I do not know much about electricity, but would be willing to finance a solar install business. Anyone interested?

I did some research last night, for the price of a new central heat and air unit, you can have solar with NO monthly bill. Of course this type of business would have to be in another county besides Henry, they woukd never allow it, but, you could service this area.
