Thanks for your feedback, shows I am not the only one. You are right about the Dollar Store. I do a lot of my shopping there also. Food Lion yes. But I will have to check out Save A Lot for their cuts of meat. Thanks again.

You guys are so poor

If you are having a problem with the Paris Wal Mart, PLEASE CALL THE DISTRICT MANAGER. You can call the store and get her phone number...can't remember her name off the top of my head, but I ASSURE YOU, she will take care of it.
The people in charge on the corporate level have NO IDEA sometimes what goes on in the store. If you complain, you accomplish two things... 1. You resolve the issue for yourself. and 2. You make those in charge aware of the problem. Go high enough up the ladder, and you'll get results. That's for sure! |

I agree that the Paris WM is the poorest in the area. Within the last few months I have been in G'town, Winchester, and Mt. Sterling. All have better selection and far superior management.

The terrible experience that I have had at Walmart is when my husband and I got married and we tried returning our duplicate and unwanted wedding gifts. Naturally we did not have receipts for 90% of the gifts, and the managment and customer service staff refused to let us return anything. They stated that they needed to have receipts for every item before they would retun it because had so much merchandise to return. I have worked in retail and I worked in customer service and I understand all the criminal tricks people try more than anyone..TRUST ME!! But the managment staff made me feel as though my husband and I were trying to cheat them out of something. They made me feel that I had stolen this stuff and tried returning it. They sent us away without allowing us to return any of our gifts. As soon as I got home, I called the store manager, and told her what had happened, and she allowed us to come back to the store to return items and get store-credit. I understand WHY they have return policies, but they need to realize that not EVERYONE who comes in to return things are criminals.

How many of you have ever asked for help out there and gotten it?
|
||||
|
I have never gotten help!!! When you ask someone they say, I don't think we have it and move on. I try not to go into Wal-Mart unless I have to. I was there one night and waited over 1/2 hour for someone to come and help me. I would rather pay more for something and go to another store.

WELL said selfchecks outs

They tried that crap on me once. This comes from corporate.. "Any item purchased from ANY Wal-Mart store can be returned at ANY Wal-Mart" Needless to say I got my money back after calling corporate. The PKY Wal-Mart is just too strict and likes to keep your money. |

I agree that is why I left Paris walmart and went to Lexington...the managers at Paris are a joke, especially the store manager!! The store never has anything that you are looking for and the service sucks because they are soooooo understaffed!! They are running the supercenter like it is the small store that they use to have...its a joke. I will go anywhere else but there. I dread when I have to go there!!!

I, once again, went to the Georgetown store yesterday and had a good experience. With the microwave I spent close to $400.00 that the Paris store could have had if their service and selection were better. There is not one area of the Paris store that compares to the other regional stores. It seems that they are reducing inventory rather than making the desired selections available. Also, G'town is consistently less expensive so the cost of gasoline to go is muted. I wish they had just kept the old store so shopping of the same product lines could be done in a timely manner and added their grocery elsewhere.

I do agree that our Wal-Mart Supercenter is a poor excuse for a local store, but since they have no major competition in town they can pretty much run the store as they chose. Now about taking back items from others stores that we don't carry, we have NEVER been allowed to do it because it messes with OUR store inventory. Now for customer service, we have been informed NOT to lead a customer to an item, we simply point in the direction and give an aisle number. And as for shopping in G-Town and saving money.... Certain Wal-Marts have cheaper items because they have been open for a longer period of time and therefore they don’t have a bunch of fees that they owe on. Also if children and adults alike would stop Stealing from Wal-Mart the cost of things also wouldn’t raise.

Well maybe people would spend more money there and not go out of town if the service was better. I think it is a shame that Wal-mart can take advantage of people cause they have no competition. That doesn't say much for you or Wal-mart.

The majority would have to agree: it's a crappy WalMart, but thank heavens there isn't a pet department! Could u only imagine how neglected little creatures would be there? I mean really, just check out the fish dept; it's so sad and dirty, fish actually feeding off ones that die.

The Paris Wal Mart is not independent. It is owned and operated by WAL MART CORPORATION, Bentonville, Arkansas. Employee, your answer is wrong on so many levels. Wal Mart's corporate website says that items may be returned to ANY Wal Mart store. There is no mention of items being returned ONLY to the store from which they were purchased. Your store doesn't base pricing on DEBTS carried by the store. That's just silly. Prices are usually determined by sell-through.(ie: How long it takes an item to sell out. If an item is selling quickly, the chances of it being around long enough to get marked down is slim to none.) I do know that each store has some say over the merchandise mix in that store.(What the store carries.) And I can tell you from personal experience that Shawn Williams (store manager) has no clue about how to stock his store. He pays no attention to what's going on in this community and makes little effort to match the store to the customer base. And just an FYI, FRIENDLY ATTENTIVE ASSOCITATES cut down on theft. Those who plan on shoplifting LOVE it when nobody pays attention. Providing courteous and prompt customer service would do more to decrease the thefts than anything else. |

I hate Wal-mart, they have how many check out lanes and only like 2 open. 1 being the cigerette checkout for 10 items or less. And their produce is a load of crap. After purchasing any fresh (if you want to call it that) fruits or veg the next day its rotted and nasty. I don't shop at wal-mart for anything anymore. I'd rather go to a few different stores and get quality.
