the difference between you people and the owner, whether he be gay, has terrible upkeep, etc....

....is that he OWNS the farm.

and you dont.

and he's busy being a happy gay farm owner.

and you're bitching on topix about it.

I am researching xalapa farm. I own a truck that apparently was owned by this farm in the early 70's. Possibly even bought new by them. I bought the truck in Pulaski county in 2002 and have been restoring it. If there are any family here that owned the farm during that time, I'd like to talk to you. Are the previous owners deceased?

The family that named Xalapa and owned it since 1897 have always lived in Houston, Texas. The original owner, oilman Edward Simms, grandson, Kenneth Franzheim II, who recently passed away, was the last owner. The family had farm managers who oversaw daily operations including upkeep and purchases which would have included farm machinery. You would have the best chance of finding information about your truck from the farm manager during those years. Xalapa Farm address is on Wikipedia.

MS. Lilly Webb owned it until or death, then it was split into 3 farms for her children. Celeste Webb Newman and her husband Emler Newman received their part with the old homestead. The other 2 children received their part and sold their part.

Anyone know the woman that is out their running it now? She is one of the rudest people I have ever met and is a total bitch. Always wanting something done out there for little to no money when they have plenty to spend. The guy who owns it freaking started CVS pharmacy.
