Sounds to me like there must be some mad parents whose kids weren't good enough to get little or no playing time, so your on here bad mouthing bourbon county. Grow up. This is the best season Bo Co has had since 1997. They won state that year. I'm very proud of them and hope they have another good year next year. GO COLONELS!!!!

Just people who know the season meant nothing because the coach scheduled weak teams so they could get wins. No substance. How do you think that is something to be proud of? Do you cheer when the senior in high school punches a 6 year old? Tell everyone how good the senior can fight? Brag about how the senior is good enough to be heavyweight champion? After he beats up a 9 year old say "I told you so!" That is your colonel team this year. Scheduled non competitive teams. Be proud. Rolling my eyes

I do not have kids on the team. I'm a big supporter. Went to every game. I'm not blind. I know football. Some of us fans discussed the schedule all year and how it would help us in the playoffs. We expected to go undefeated. We hoped for a top seed so we could get three home games against weaker teams. We knew as soon as our colonels played a good team we were done. We hoped all the good teams would get upset in the playoffs and hopefully we could win it all. The playoffs went exactly as we expected. We had to play a good team. I watched our team get pushed all over the field and exposed for what we were. Please put some good non district teams on the schedule next year so we can get better and stronger.

Yes they played a weak schedule but so do most of the other good teams. Only difference, some schools have better players and when it comes to playoffs, these teams can advance. On one hand, you want to build confidence but at the same time you don't want feed your team crap. You got to keep reminding them they should be beating these teams and keep their feet planted. You also want to avoid getting physically beaten and be healthy at the end to give yourself a chance. On the other hand, you could choose a tougher schedule and hope everyone stays upbeat, healthy, and wants to continue getting better. With coaching experience, its hard and sometimes impossible to keep kids focused if they are getting beat. Some may think itís best to keep the moral up by winning. It's easier to bring moral down than it is to build it up. Personally, I would schedule 2-3 good teams, 1 at the beginning, 1 in the middle, 1 at the end of the season. For these kids to go undefeated was awesome! Sports build kids self-esteem, it teaches them how to communicate, trust, how to overcome adversity, team building skills, and so many other attributes, and in some cases, these skills they learn in sports is more than they will learn in the classroom. Sad but true. Now these kids know what it will take to get to that next level next year. Obviously this is just my opinion and I wish all kids the best. When it comes down to it, kids need sports and positive reinforcement. I don't care what school they play for.

To all of you complaining about the season and non-district games, this season was put together by the old coach. So, the new coaches came in with this in place. They competed with class and beat every team solidly. They were able to make the last round of play-offs and beat a solid Mason team for the District Title. So all of you haters, leave it alone. Show some class... These young men worked very hard this year with a wonderful staff of coaches. Shame on you if you are parents, they play as a team and I bet your son would be embarrassed of you posting anything negative on this... Congratulations to the team and look forward to the future!

I like how your claim to fame is beating a very solid Mason County team that had 5 losses and allowed 346 points scored against them. That was one tough team! Belfry is a solid team. Mason is mediocre at best. As someone said in an earlier post, someone will always try to justify this season. It is obvious to many of us how the team became undefeated during the season

Amen! They can't get past this tho. These are the real Al Bundy's of the world. They're life's real losers. Miserable shoe salesman clinging to a high school football game. Pointing out every flaw and wallowing in negativity like satan himself. These kids had a great season. They represented themselves and our community with class and pride. But these "Al's" can't see that. Sad. Pathetic. You should be ashamed of yourselfs

Why in the f*** are you all hating? This team managed to do what you couldn't do, and you're just gonna hate on them for having an easy schedule? Football takes commitment. I've been there. They put it work to get that far in the season. Why don't you start congratulating them and stop bashing them. They earned respect in my eyes.

Better buy your season tickets now! The Bengals will be undefeated next year! It's going to be the greatest Bengals season ever! The Bengals train will roll all season long! 16-0!! Buy your "undefeated season" shirts now! Commemorate and show your Bengal pride by wearing these awesome shirts! The shirts say "16-0" and have no reference to any of the teams the Bengals will beat next season so you can wear them without being ashamed!
Playoff tickets will not be included in season ticket package. We strongly advise against buying playoff tickets or watching the playoff game(s). But on a positive note remember our team will be undefeated during the season next year! Train keeps rolling!
If this really happened and the bengals made it to the playoffs with an undefeated season every person posting on here would rip the bengals. You would hear everyone talking coast to coast about how the season meant nothing and how the bengals were really not a good team. The colonels did the same thing and we are supposed to give a parade?

being this was the current coaching staffs first year, they had nothing to do with the schedule. All games are scheduled a year in advance and are usually contracts for 2-3 years.
