To your post i have a question do u have a child who plays football at the high school level?
if so have u asked your child if they think that we need a new coach..........personally my son is very satisfied with the our Head Coach and just wishes the parents would back off and let him do his job because if u look at the stats they have much improved in the last 3 years.

Bourbon County is lucky to have someone to want to coach the football team with all that has gone on. Just be appreciative that you all have a coach. This day and time BCHS is not going to pay for another "Coach Hilton". That is not going to happen ever again.... SPeaking of Hilton he is going up against a BCHS graduate that is coaching another team, this week in the State Finals!!!
Goodluck Colonels, and just try to meet in the middle with your coach and work things out.

He is a Preston. I read it in the Herald Leader.
I think he may have coached at Paris one time?

I think it's against the law to post a Job offer if YOU ARE NOT the person in charge of hiring people. The Coach could actually press charges....
I bet your one of the boy's parents who disrespected the coach and didn't get a Iron Man award...that's so sad.....
As a parent of BCHS Football players....I think the coach is doing his job ....which part of it is NOT letting students or parents tell him how to do his job....

the coaching staff at bc is a joke its all family or best friends, with the intent of show casing there own children, you tell me what qualifications ransom and barnes have to be coaches, and the reason of "the kids like them",IS NOT A QUALIFICATION.ransom never even played football,i dont know what he has on the school system but it must be good, because he is even a basketball coach, which record isnt much better than football

My blog was referring to Coach Massie....He is actually VERY qualified for his position....And not all the kids on the team do like him....but almost all of them do respect him....there is a difference. As far as who Massie picked for his coaching team...did you ever think he picked people who work well with the boys and can communicate with them I think each Coach complements the other in area's that may not be the others strong points.....but wait...don't all jobs work that way....the trickle down effect....

for all the supporters of Massie, you have your opinions how good he is. BUT we have the facts on how he has treated some players.until you have all the facts don't down the parents that are against him. As far as the stats, yes we have won three games, but look at the teams we PLAYED!

I can't believe your yelling at me in a blog..BLUE. If you knew the fact's you would aready know this....
The reason the boy's were left out of the Iron Man award is because of disrespect to the coach....well 2 0f them and the other 2 quit the team...ummm for like a day...because they thought it was cool to disrespect the coach....Massie told the boy's to leave because of that....and as far as qulifications...see BOCO's blog.....and the team's we played were in the same ranking as our's...what do you want...have them play teams like LEX Cath all the time??? Boy that would solve everything.....I know this...I can see why the team has so many problems....If parents dont' show respect then why should the kids. And as far as what I believe football fan....I guess you didnt read about the trickle down effect...I think it's a game...the kids enjoy being with eachother as a team.....Kids come first not score's.

Not to be dissing the coach, but just because you played doesn't make you a coach. Believe it or not there is a difference.
I don't know him that well but if he was in the NFL why in the hell is he coaching at BCHS?

Just winning three? Isn't that better then being on the state's longest loosing streak?
Just asking.

I take it this coach is a teacher too? If so how is he received by the rest of the student body and faculty?

One last question, wasn't he a Paris coach in late 90's or early 2000's? Isn't that against the law in Paris to cross over to coach at the other school?

thank you bam that is correct,he was a walk on at u.k.,and the only reason he played nfl is he crossed the line, even if he was a scholarship player and a drafted player it still does not make u a coach, and as far as respect tell me how it is respectful for the kids when an under classman, since he was a freshman, gets most outstanding player award, every year, these awards are suppose to be for sen. class,oh wait thats right coaches son,you find me a school ishiney, that gives that award to an under classman, junior down to freshman and i will tell you im sorry for everything i wrote
