Paris has always had a reputation for attracting fly by night operations.

No, I haven't.

But, here's what I noticed this morning!

You should have seen the thick dirt accumulated on their vehicles lined up this morning.

The city has been digging for treasure right out in front of this auto lot in Paris Kentucky. I hope the workers were wearing masks!

When I was giving my mom a lift to pay bills this morning I had to sit in traffic while an 18 wheeler did a turn around. This gave me time to notice the complete mess that the diggin' in the roads has done to Ken's Auto's trucks and cars.

Then, on my way home from the bill paying, I saw a man out there with a rubber hose. I bet he was pissed.

I really never took much notice of this business before. Are you having some issues, Curious?

I did notice a phat ass el camino sitting on an adjacent competitor's sales lot! Sweet
=)

KENS IS A GREAT PLACE TO BUY A CAR! I AM TRYING TO GET MY FAMILY MEMBERS TO GO THERE, AND IN THIS DAY WHEN MOST CAR DEALERS ARE PUSHING FOR YOU TO BUY A CAR.... BASED ON THE FINANCE RATE AND THE COST TO YOU...... THEY WILL TRY TO GET YOU TO NOT BUY JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT A CAR. THIS IS A TOP RATED CAR DEALER...... I KNOW BECAUSE I AM BUYING FROM KENS.
I know better

My husband bought from Ken's not too long ago, from Beau. He bought a bronco and Beau was a good guy. He wasn't pushy. He even went and filled it up with gas for us before we test drove it. We knew the truck wasn't great, so the price was lowered. It needed some maintenance. But we knew what we were getting into. Was not a bad experience.

But I would love to know what is so bad about them in particular. Just out of curiosity. So far no one has said anything to the point. Every car dealer is out for your money. What kind of problem did the original poster have with them?

I'm not sure if I have han this forum.(?).

But, yes, the PC runs almost round the clock here. I write for a very small living.

I take my moments on Topix, depending on what is occupying me, or not, for that matter.

I have been looking for things to occupy my time outside of the internet world, such as card-playing, music, and teaching. Mostly the only entertainment outside of the home is a trip out for necessities.:(

I stay at home and do laundry, dishes, meals, and budgeting. If it weren't for the internet, I might find conviction in other ways!!!

=O
Have a nice day. lmao too.

PS. I try to be an assest here. Thanks for noticing.

I once bought a car without a test drive at Dotson Brothers in Paris.

I was going to test drive it, but it had a flat tire on the back.

Anyway, the dude from the sales dept got in and started it up and it sounded alright, so I gave him the 900 cash. I went back later, after he had fixed up the tire, so I could pick the car up.

I was desperate for a quick ride.

The car was a bargain, actually.:) But I don't recommend buying without a test drive. I must have been crazy that day. It was shown on their website. I showed it to a friend in Florida and he said, "You oughta jump on that Ford, it sure is shiny!". lols.

Here are some car buying tips I wrote almost a year ago. The follow up comments I published on the article were deleted by mistake during a mass spam cleanup. Sorry!

I bought a car from Ken himself after my wife saw it was parked in front of his house and before he opened the lot downtown. It was and IS a fine vehicle and would highly recommend Ken and his business to anyone in or around Bourbon county. He is a fine man and he doesn't forget you after you drive off the lot. I hope his business flourishes. He was a successful auto dealer before he ever came around here. Good luck Ken!!

Ken Iaasac dealerships are all over Georgia. Ken Iaasac Toyota, Cadilac Chevy dealers. I don't think he is a fly by night operator. He been flying many nights before coming to Paris. I think he enjoys being back home in Kentucky. I hardly think he is hurting for cash to sell junky car. I love my car. If he can finance me then anyone with a job can do business there. He also has a hot looking young woman that drops him off in the mornings. lol

Ken's is a great place to buy a car. They are friendly, courteous and Ken cares about his customers. No there is not a Ken Isaac Toyota but his son does own the Toyota dealership in Georgia. They are both fine people and as for the young woman who drops him off in the mornings, that is his wife and she is sweet as she can be.

Your husband got snookered on that camo bronco, plain and simple. I have seen it on craigslist a dozen times, no one who knows any thing about broncos would give 25% of what he snookered out of you guys on that rust bucket. I looked at it the first day it was on the lot, when the lot lizard told me what they were asking I started laughing and ask where is the hidden camera, I was not ask but told to leave. What a great bunch, yeah, just great.

I was looking for a vehicle and went to their lot. After checking the asking price on a truck that they had for months I thanked them and said it was out of my range for that particular vehicle. I was referred to Ken. He said make an offer and if it didn't suit "We will still be friends". I told him I knew it was low but, as requested, made the offer. Dude as much as cussed me out without breaking into foul language! He said his uppity, holier than thou spiel, walked in the door and SLAMMED IT IN MY FACE!

Several weeks later I called about a Volvo crossover that he had. I asked the price over the phone. I dount know if he recognized my voice or if it was a caller ID thing but he quoted almost double the high book on the vehicle and hung up in my ear! I WOULDN'T BUY A TRICYCLE FROM THE OUT-OF-STATE, FLOOD VEHICLE PUSHING, JUNK DEALER!!!

Wish I new what I was getting. Maybe Kens did not know anything was wrong with the car when they sold it to me, unfortunately there was a major problem. If they didn't know what was wrong with the car then it makes buying from them even scarier then if they just tried to make a sale at all cost. After all the end justifies the means. The only thing I can gather from my experience is that either scenario is bad business. I would not recomend Kens used cars to my worst enemies unless they were trying to run me over in a car.
