Why start a union. If you are not happy there go find another job. You will find it is one of the higher paying places in the area though. Good luck

Understand now that I can associate a builfding with it. Unions are terrible and in the long run many innocent people lose their jobs. Sounds good up front but pathetic in the end!

My boyfriend has worked there for years, long before it was Doncasters. It has changed since the Magers' owned it, but is still a GREAT place of employment. They pay very well, offer fantastic benefits and offer overtime regularly, not lay off like some of the places do around here.

And a union is a worthless waste of money. If you do your job well you don't need to pay for someone to keep it for you...

This place is a joke. If you want to work in a Nazi concentration death camp come over to dumcasters. They haven't given a raise in two years. They stopped contributing to the 401K, and no one person in the same work area is paid the same or even close. If you are hired today you would probably make more money than someone that has been there twenty years + . (no Joke)Most of the Office personnel treat the floor employees like crap. They have no rule book that they follow because they only use the only important rule in the rulebook (all rules are subject to change at any time without prior notice). I was hoping to make the last layoff but that didn't happen. Anyway that's just a little bit of what goes on there. It was a nice place to work till dumcasters took it over. Ive been there for many many years.

Could it just be a sign of the times? Many businesses have eliminated or cut back on benefits. Many times when a locally owned business is sold to a major company, they don't seem to consider the employees and especially those that have been there for a great length of time. Insurance is becoming more of an issue with all of the increases and pensions are definitely changing. Hope things do not get worse before we see improvements but at least you are still working and not sponging off the state. There is a lot to be said for that!

And here all this time, I thought it was just a front for underground POPCORN manufacturing.Learn something new everyday. I bet those Majors folks were influential people in PARIS.. Did their kids get to play sports?

Are you serious? Our economy is screwed! No one is giving raises or contributing to 401k. Don't wait for a layoff... you should actually go out and try to find something better! Let one of those hardworking GSI layoffs appreciate your paycheck.
