will not shop Walmart

Walmart is rated as the top importer from China. Walmart's imports displace production that would support 1+ million jobs in 1 year! The impact on the U.S. trade deficit is enormous.

To will not shop Walmart. You are absolutely correct! Just saw a documentary on PBS, I believe, about Walmart's impact on America. I am totally shocked and feel physically ill. People open your eyes and find out who is manufacturing for Walmart and the conditions they work in.

A toy that was made for $.18 in China sells for $14.96 at your local Walmart.

Never again will I step foot in a Walmart.

Wal-mart has become a national indicator of our economy....soon the term shopping will be changed to wal-marting....The number 1 retailer in the world also sees a new name in the horizon just as the Past big retailers have. It could be you.Stop complaining and start doing... invent that mouse trap and be the new kid on the block. It goes without saying,we are a price driven consumer period.Quality is gone... we care more for price than value...why... we get bored easily and move on to something else.If china can make it cheap you have to ask why can't we?

Think of where we would be without WalMart, WalMart provides many jobs directly and indirectly. WalMart provides us with a way to get things we would otherwise be with out. WalMart buys from where they can to get the best price for consumers. Also face the fact where else would they buy from, WalMart does not own the factories, they could not provide the jobs. You should be talking about the companies that are making the stuff in china instead of here, not WalMart. We just do not make many things here in this country, is that Walmarts fault that the only place they can buy that toy your kid wants is from china. Is it Walmarts fault that any of the items it sells that people want can only be bought from overseas because that is the only place to buy those items. WalMart buys American made when they can, but face it there is not much they can buy American made.

On this topic you support big corporations? You can't have it both ways Adam. Walmart BTW was sued successfully for the paying women less than men and you state thats why you don't like Romney. Confused?

I have worked for WalMart before, and lots of the crap about WalMart treating woman bad is bull. There is a lawsuit about there is less woman in management. That is completely false they have lots of woman in management but unlike other store department managers are not included in the official numbers so it makes it look like they have fewer woman managers. Right now I work in a position that deals with Walmart. 15 of the 20 managers I work with are woman.

How many local citizens? You need to look at the big picture - not locally, but nationally. Are you really saving money? What about the jobs Walmart provides overseas? How many people have been put out of business or have lost manufacturing jobs because of Walmart? All of these folks who have no jobs because of Walmart have caused your taxes to raise. Who is paying for their health care? Who is paying for their food stamps? Who is paying for their subsidized housing? You are.

WalMart keeps prices low and employees more people than mom and pop shops could begin to. Show me any proof where Walmart put people out of manufacturing jobs. WalMart is not a manufacturer they buy and sell. WalMart would buy more US made products if there was more to buy. You need to blame the loss of manufacturing jobs not on the buy but the maker. Should WalMart stop buying, if so than where would people get things they need that is only produced overseas. Small businesses like mom and pop stores sell the same overseas made items, should we blame them for the lost of manufacturing jobs. Without WalMart many things that are now affordable would not be. Prices in these stores that WalMart is suppose to be forcing out of business is not reasonable 5 dollars for a gallon of milk or 4 for a loaf of bread, or 6 for 4 lbs of sugar.

I am seeing the big picture, people like you just need something to blame your problems on. How much money does mom and pop shops donate back to the community, Walmart donates a lot. Walmart brings money into a town. People who does not live in a town will travel there to shop. I worked for Walmart for almost 2 years, I started out at 7.75 when min wage was 6.50 and by the time I quite I was making 9.50 and min wage was 7.75 so do not say they pay crap, I got 3 raises in less than 2 years.

I see all that you can do is bash my grammar and never give any real counter argument or evidence on your point of view. You blindly walk through this world bumping into one thing or another, never caring to open your eyes to the truth. You wish to blame others for your problems, so to not have to feel responsibility for your actions. You should really read the books by Terry Goodkind, it would open your eyes to the truth.

Do not shop Walmart. Corporate Walmart does not care about their customers or employees. Corporate executives only want to fill their own pockets.
