Flipping through last week's Beacon I noticed the Sheriff's Corner. The article highlighted the retirement of a long time county employee. I couldn't help but notice the glossy head shot of Sheriff Motley. Wonder how much the photo shoot cost the county? Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to have a picture of the retiring employee shaking hands w/the sheriff or something?

Did it occur the pic may have been taken during his campaign and paid for by campaign funds?

Yea we all know that the sheriff has none of his own money. He ran a campaign financed with his own money, I am sure he can aford a photograph. Man are you petty. Didnt see you asking about anything your butt buddy Timmy was buying on the counties dime. What is it going to cost the county from the law suits the girls who were forced to have sex for food get filed?

So? What proof is that? You still don't know who paid for the picture. Even if the county did, do you know whether they paid for pictures of previous sheriffs? I know some counties do.
You really need to get a hobby. You've been knocking Motley since he first announced that he was running for sheriff. Why don't you take up golf? I heard there was a country club for sale.

I can't honestly believe for one minute that any of those girls were forced to have sex for food or anything else for that matter. Pretty funny it all of a sudden came into public right before the election. Crooked son-of-a-guns anyway. Note also the reputation of the girls incarcerated at the time. Just like in Former President Clinton's case they both got caught in consenstial sexual matters.
The rest was left up to the Beacon news to report. Which, I must remind you that just because you read it in the newspaper doesn't mean it's true.(Freedom of the Press). Get out of the gutter people. Who really cares who's doing who?

But there are consensual sex situations that are still illegal. If you don't like that, then work to change the laws.

Sure...lets blame Topix. That lady was messed up in the head. I don't care what people say about me, I will not kill my kids over it. Why are you even bringing this into the situation Just Sayin? Is it because you are being called out for constantly being on the offensive against Motley?

Btw... the county always pays for new photo's of the new sheriff. They use the photo's as promotional pieces regarding the county as well as post the picture in the jail. That has been done for years here as well as adjoining counties. I even remember Farnham having such a photo.

Courtney Utterback told her friends that she was going to get a lawsuit against the county the next time she was in jail. That is a fact, I was told about it before she went in. Fact, Courtney utterback is a lesbian and will not have sex with a guy. Fact, Jason and Kent would never do what they are being accused of, I have known both of them for 22 years and I will always believe them. Fact, there is no evidence against them to prove this happen, only a couple things that make it look weird but not wrong. These charges will never stick and then they will be suing the county and they state and us tax payers will have to pay for the State being gungho on this.

If Jason is not guilty, why was he trying so hard to avoid giving a DNA sample? If I was not guilty, I would want to give my DNA to prove that I did not do the crime.

I posted this article to bring a different perspective and perhaps change the tone of the discussion. In the last year I have read hateful posts about people I hold in high regard. Then when I tried to offer a challenging opinion I received the same treatment. Its okay to debate the actions of public officials, published facts, and public policy. Calling people names and trash talking the deceased is over the top.

Back to the original issue. I don't care if the county pays for a professional photo of the sheriff. I do find it insulting that an article intended to honor a retiring public employee turned into another opportunity for Motley to sing how great thou art.
Amazes me

What amazes me is that you could care less that a retiring county employee was recognized for his service! How about you go do that job...put your life on the line for the safety of the county. Let's see how you feel about that! Obviously from your post anyone can see you are not a Motley fan....no reason to bash what appears to be a honor to someone who gave service to this county! I suppose you would have prefered that Motley ignore the fact he was retiring so you could complain about that also. As for the picture...do you really care so much about the fact there is a picture and he is in uniform OR are you just unhappy your guy didn't win. I don't think a picture, regardless of who took it is going to break the county fortune. I am sure Motley pays his fair share of taxes to the county, that is public information...if you are intested in that just go check it out.
