Yes, I remembered it on that side of the street. We used to do business with Paul at his shop.
What was the name of the other theater? I know it was where the Collins is now.

I remember when you would drive up to a service station you would get full service at all of them. Some gave stamps to get your business.

Remember when there was no Walmart or Lowes around and if you needed something for a job you had to go to one of the hardware stores downtown. But I can't remember their names. McHaney?

Remember when you lived outside of town and one of the cleaners in Paragould would pick up your cleaning and deliver for you. We would lay it in a chair on the front porch and they would pick it up. Back in that time a lot of people wore a lot of wool and had several items that needed cleaning.

When all the banks in town closed at 2 pm and they closed, I think, on Thursday all day. This is where the term " bankers' hours" came from.
I remember that and didn't the stores close on Wed afternoons?

Heath Funeral home was located where family vision care is located now at 219 W Main St.
Heaths was where Dr Crabtree's office is. Or maybe it is a vision place now.

Yes, it was located on east side of town where Herren tire is located now.
Remember when Otasco store was located where White printing co. Is located now?
Remember when there was a Woolworth down town on Pruett St. next to the Clyde Mack clothing store.
Are you sure that the name of the dime store near the end of the street was called Woolworth? That doesn't sound right to me.

<quoted text> Man O Man, I clear forgot about that Woolworth store. I remember now I used to get hot cashew nuts there and pop corn. There was a Ben Franklin 5 & 10 at the corner where the old Belk store was, too. I loved to go to those places and look around. They sure could cram a lot into a store. Talk about stock!
Ben Franklin was across the street from Belk. Sterlings used to there too with a dress shop between them. We had lots of dress shops back in the 50's and 60's. Then later Sterlings moved where New 2 u flea mkt is.
