I can't find the story online but the daily press posted something about it yesterday. Anyone know anything about this? Not wanting any information on the children involved of course. Just the disturbed gentleman that done the violating.

I've been told it was Corey Weatherford. Now EX-youth Minister Reynolds Baptist Church. I don't know any details.

Sad

So sad, I have known Corey for pretty much my whole life. I thought quite highly of him with taking his step in the church scene. So sad to see someone ruin their life. Never expected this from him.

I am sorry but who said they were victims? Yes he knew better but these girls are old enough as well. I am not defending him but all the blame may not need to be placed solely on him. With the way girls act these days I would bet they went after him just as much. My prayers are with everyone involved.

seriously????!!!! He was there YOUTH PASTOR.....i don't care if they were flirting with him or whatever....in his role as youth pastor he knew better!!!!!!!!!! I just love how people want to blame the victims. oh and it always "the ways girls act, and looking at the teen girl that's pregnant as a slut blah blah blah" while the girls many times own up and take responsibility for the babies....the boy takes off....but that a whole other topic.

This is no different than if he were a high school teacher....he is the adult here!!!!!!!!

Could you be any more stupid? He is a predator. It doesn't matter what they girls did. He is old enough to know better and is in a position of authority.

Just like the Pharisees to judge before seeking truth. If he's guilty it will be dealt with appropriately. Until he has stood before a jury of his peers...back off you hypocrites.

The girls were not his students and were not part of his group. Not that it matters, just clarifying.

He is an adult & was in the position to mentor & lead youth. That means he should have acted in such a way, even if girls paraded around naked in front of him, his position should have been to tell them they needed to get dressed, NOT engage in sexual activity. He's an educated man that knows full well that it's illegal to involve himself in any sexual activity with a minor. When a parent trust an adult with their children, they expect that adult to keep their children out of harms way.

It is also the parents' responsiblity to teach the girls how to dress and how to act. It did not say he raped them now did it? They were willing and old enough to know to say no...if they wanted to. I am not taking up for him by any means. He knew to look the other way.

Can someone with legal knowledge explain his alleged crimes. As in what exactly is a Class A Felony and what do they mean by deviant sexual contact/activity (can't remember exactly how it was worded.)? Is this a situation of him forcing himself on the girls or something else? Naturally if he forced himself on them, that's all kinds of wrong? If they willingly had sexual contact with him then it all came out, then not only is it wrong on his end, but where were their morals knowing he had a spouse and infant? If he forced himself on them, then I apologize and feel very sorry for them, but most should understand what I meant when I asked if they did anything willingly. But definitely he should have known better and should be punished!

Y'all need more facts before you talk crap!
The young man could have wrongly accused , it's not like that has never happened.
It could all be true.
But we need to wait and let all the facts come out before any judgement's are passed.
Everyone would like the same if it was them!
