Well, let's ponder that question Jive-Man. To get some perspective on it, we must first ask if indeed everyone "deserves" his/her day in court.

I read a story about a Texas man who caught a 47 year old man raping his 4 year old daughter behind a barn on his ranch.

This father dragged the rapist off his child and began beating him, eventually beating the rapist lifeless.

I would now need to at least TRY to put myself in that fathers shoes and hope you can try too, before asking myself ....... Would I do the same thing if I caught someone raping my baby, or would I feel like this rapist deserves his day in court?

Then I would transfer that same logic to the Trayvon Martin murder. A grown man attacks a child resulting in death of the child.

I think Zimmerman is getting off if he is just forced to shack up with Tri-Pod for 30 years.

You went full circle to get completely out of the topic. You can't compare a 17 year old to a helpless 4 year old or a new born baby in a crib. The 17 year old was a victim, but at least he was old enough to try and defend himself, which he did. Of course I would kill anyone murdering my child, but Martin's father was not present to do this.

What about the young white couple who were kidnapped, beaten, raped and murdered by the 4 black men at Knoxville, TN in the 1990's? Was that okay? Should the black men have gotten off because they were minorities and the college couple white?

You need to quit ranting and let the judge and jury decide these things.

what about the 5 thugs that beat a little 12 yr old girl on the school bus in ocala fl till she had seizures and passed out? the bus driver tried to stop them but when he started driving thugs started beating again....and guess why they said they did it.she was suppose to have said something racist to them....pathetic

More than likely I as an independent am just as liberal as you, but you are not helping your cause any.

Truefully each person should be judged by what they did illegally, not by the color of their skin or what friggin religion they belong to, or who their parents are, etc, etc.

And no once the judgement has been handed down, they don't need to be further harrested in prison as your warped mind imagines. Remember the judge and jury sets the punishment, not the guards or inmates, or that's the way it should be.

What would give you the impression that I would think that to be "okay"?

I don't care about skin color. My stand is any child that is harmed by an adult (or adults) should recieve the maximum punishment afforded by law.

In Zimmerman's case, I think he should get life.

In Jerry Sandusky's case, he should fry like a McDonald's Apple Pie.

The way it "should be" and the way "it is" are two different things pal.

If a person goes to prison for harming a child, there is no rules. If you think "protective custody" will keep Zimmerman safe, you are wrong. Protective custody is only a 30-60 day occurance in order to prepare a weak, frightened, cowardly person for entering the general population.

Don't forget, Tri-Pod has a couple kids back home. He will NOT be a welcoming site for George.

Because you seem to have a loving thing with these so called tripods as you call them. Isn't that term a bit on the racist side?

It's your right to have an opinion on what you want Z and Sandusky to get, but it's the judge and jury who will make the decision. I don't think we fry people like pies anymore though. Although some right wing jerk offs might fantazise on those things.

If you think the laws are too lax, you can petition that they be more severe.

That's what I said "should be." I didn't know about the 30-60 day PC rule, sounds like you have been there, or maybe you are a correctional officer? Or just hang with the people who have been there?
