Ah, that's where you are wrong. I DO know the family. Both sides of the family. Where are the fliers? The billboards? The news stories? The websites, Facebook pages, etc.? Show me where all that is and I'll concede that they actually have made an effort to find her.
maybe they are not FB users or know how to go about it?

You r right u don't know the family, because if u did then u would know that they never gave up looking and to this day they still look. They would love to find out the truth but in this town thats very hard to do when its covered up.
i remember the story. Hard to believe never found her. Why would there be a cover up?

You must not be from here or you would know why it could have been a cover up. But I won't tell.

What would be the reason for the coverup? What did Dickie know that was so damaging that he used it as leverage? And, if he had something on the cops or law enforcement around here, in general, then why did he go to jail countless times over the years for DWI's, PI's, etc. after she disappeared? Wouldn't that piece of damaging information he supposedly had keep him out of jail all those times? I love the conspiracy theories, I really do. I'm not saying he didn't kill Lavonne, but I also think she was just as capable as disappearing.

I don't know anything, don't even know these people but it was a popular topic of conversation back then. The thing is, someone knows what happened, but who.

A person should go to jail for that. It is stupid to use alcohol and make a butt of oneself.

Is that the one who had just become engaged? If so I heard an update on it at the end of the year on KAIT. It is still unsolved.

What about the "suicide" of Keith Springston inside the apartment connected to the 69 mini mart.It happened March 22, not sure what year. I knew keith and I know that he would not have killed himself. He told his mother just a few weeks before his death that if she gets a call that he killed himself, make sure the police investigate his wife Jackie. And his mother was going through his things in his closet and found over $400 in the toe of his boots. At the funeral home Jackie was very insistant on needing copies of the death certificates so she could show it to the bank and lean holders cause she thought she was getting something. At the time of his death Keith owned 69 mini mart, and had just signed a contract with the hwy department to do hauling with his dump trucks. She ended up with her clothes and about $250 out of their joint account cause everything else was in his and his moms name. He had a feeling she was going to do him in.
Your are correct and Jackie had help Brian! He wa a snitch for the police dept. and a huge drug runner, he is a big scary man last I knew he worked for Harvey Beasley at Greene Co. Fence Co. Strange old Harv. was murdered to. Don't know Brian's last name but I will never forget that bastards face!

This happened near my home, all i have to say is people really need to focus on this part...

"The medical examiner's office checked and said that she had no physical injuries other than being in the water and the (impact of the) elements," said Gary Etter, who has been investigating the Tusing case since 2000. "I think whoever did this probably did it before. That's what I'm thinking due to no evidence."

"The first thing that comes to your mind, and I'm not saying it was a law enforcement officer,(but the) first thing that comes to your mind is that a law enforcement officer would know how to conceal the evidence."

Put nothing past H.N. Beasley. He had a brother who was a county cop here in the 70's. Worthless men, both of them.

The Tusing case is odd indeed. My SPECULATION (no evidence) is there were two perpetrators, at least in the cover up. Amanda dies, either intentionally or on accident... poison accidental overdose, etc. Then they take her car and put it on the highway to be found while the other perp (in a different vehicle) disposes of the body. For a law enforcement to say it was not the perps first time is speculation on their part as well.

Very interesting. And you're right that it is just speculation that it was a police officer. I have never committed a murder, but i have seen enough shows on t.v. that i could probably wouldnt make mistakes that an inexperienced murderer would usually make that didnt have knowledge gained from shows that basically teach people how to commit crimes and get by with it. however, it wasn't just the physical evidence in the case that made think it was a police officer, that was just a public excuse used to explain why they were investigating a certain officer. There is Alot more to it than was made public

I remember the word got out that Danny told some guys he killed him but Danny killed himself before the case came to trial.
Danny was accused of killing Alvin Snell. He took the rap for something he didn't do. Some think it was a case of mistaken identity. Danny was a good & loyal man, one of the best friend's a guy could have. Danny never told who really killed Snell because his family's lives were threatened. He ended his own keep his family safe.
