Why do they leech off of the hard work of so many low income workers? People work, their paychecks are sent to Staffmark, then Staffmark cashes their paychecks and pays them much less and keeps the difference. That's all they do. They're a check cashing scam. That's worse than the worst welfare scam case. Downright sickening.

Some employers love them because they get to have workers that they don't have to treat in accordance with their own employee handbooks. They get to have employees that they don't have to treat like their employees. That is Staffmark's service to them. Pathetic.

There are a lot of incorrect statements in your post. First, companies do not send paychecks to Staffmark. If you're working through Staffmark, then Staffmark pays you directly. Also all employees are told what their pay rate will be before they accept an assignment. Companies pay Staffmark for doing their recruiting, but that does not come out of the employee's paycheck.

There were no incorrect statements. The companies pay Staffmark instead of the employee, and then Staffmark takes a cut and gives the rest to the employee. Also, of course employes are told what their pay rate will be, it's a bare legal minimum requirement that that be done. Also, very little "recruiting" is done. Factories that are the bulk of Staffmark's customers pay Staffmark for a full-time segment of their workforce, as described in the original posts. If it was true recruiting, or even a significant amount of it, then Staffmark would be our of a job, or a legalized extortion scam.

Virtually every factory uses temps, and saying that it's better to get taken advantage of than to starve is not a justification for seneless plundering of the poor working class.

I wouldn't blame those folks if they exist, and all the better for them if they can get assistance to get by. That isn't half as bad as what companies like staffmark does.

There is no essential or valuable recruiting and screening element to Staffmark. Recruiting and screening at Staffmark consists of little mare than being a conscious adult and able to count, say your ABC's and pee in a cup without it turning the wrong color. Employers (the real one's and not Staffmark) decide if the employees are satisfactory after they show up to their front door, just like they would do if Staffmark didn't exist.

I would also like to add that Staffmark doesn't claim to be a temporary service. Their goal is to have people working permanently through them, which they do.

better not get sick that wouldn't cover anything wouldn't be any good in the rare case you need you medical insurance just another scam this is a democracy we should get together and stick it to the rich like they do us we are the majority not them it is one person one vote not one dollar one vote I'm sick of the rich taking advantage of the poor to get richer it never stops have they no human decency?

Alot of the larger companies use temp or temp to hire agencies like staffmark so they won't have to pay benefits. The wrong group is being blamed! Staffmark isn't coming out ahead--the companies are!!-

I used Staffmark to find a job. I worked at the factory temporarily then was hired on as a full employee. Yes, when I was hired on my pay went up. BUT the factory does not hire anyone UNLESS they were previously hired on through Staffmark AND did a good job while a temp. I'm glad that I was able to find a job in this economy.

Staffmark certainly does come out ahead, they are a business and they do this to make money. If they didn't come out ahead they wouldn't be involved at all. Now if you meant that people's beef should be with the companies that use agencies like Staffmark, you might be making a more accurate statement. The companies that use agencies do so because they believe they benefit from it and the companies they use profit as well.

They cheat you out of your unemployment after a layoff. They have this little clause that they don't tell you about that says if you ever work for them and get laid off you have to call them daily to see if they have anything for you or you lose your unmployment check.
