#1 Reason to vote YES: If you do not vote yes your taxes will double or more in the next 7 years. If you vote yes your taxes will slightly go up.

I am voting YES for the millage because I do not want to see my taxes go up exponentially higher if we have to depend on the federal government to fix our schools (this millage gives us FREE money from the government - it costs our taxpayers nothing for one half of the necessary funds).

Be smart - vote YES!

How Stupid! that's what you are voting on is taxes.
Vote no = Taxes stay the same
Vote yes = Taxes go up
Only the stupid would want to give Hosman more money to waste!

I am voting yes for that reason and a million others. I believe in our school district and look forward to the new primary and middle schools.

Unfortunately, you are going to face alot of criticism on here. Just remember, that the majority (I said majority, not all) of topix readers are not responsible outstanding citizens and mostly get on here to make up things and complain because they have nothing better to do. However, know that there are just as many people that think the same way you do and your opinion is shared by many others who are probably not on topix, so don't let the remarks you are about to receive discourage you!

I have had to force myself to stay off the forums on this topic because it is only a place for the no voters to congregate and pretend like they know something they don't.

Vote yes for Paragould!

Even if you vote yes it will still become a charter. And if you want to know why i think this just look around at our economy,And don't forget Greed,No certified teachers have to teach at charters and Administrator sets his own salary. But if the school does poorly bye bye Charter.

Greene County Tech Superintendent Jerry Noble refused to accept a raise offered to him by the school board during executive session of Monday night’s meeting.

Noble said after the meeting he did not feel comfortable accepting a raise unless the rest of the staff was able to have one as well, which will not be decided until next year’s budget is discussed.

“I won’t accept a raise unless everyone else gets one,” he said.

Mr. Noble is a smart man and has been paying attention to what is going on with psd and how public opinion of the supt. impacts the school. Also, perhaps Mr. Noble is simply not as greedy as certain others and also actually cares about the long range success of the school that he is entrusted to manage. A little common sense, personality, and willingness to listen to others and occasionally waver or compromise in order to achieve the outcome that is best for the majority is what is lacking at psd. Public opinion might be different if it wasn't for past unwise spending and current arrogance. I don't doubt that improvements are needed and wish they could be done, however, I also know that folks can't afford much right now and are sickened by certain aspects of all this millage proposal.

Tech super is turning down a raise because he actually has to or they won't get that damn stoplight in front of the school that they have to pay for. Way to play it for the media thought.
