Well I guess my mother must have got him on his bad day. She was bed ridden and got very sick. We called an ambulance so they had to stop at Paragould at that time that was the rule. Anyway she couldn't breathe and was very sick at her stomach, running a high fever. He came in looked at my mother and told her to her face and mine and everyone in the hall that and I qoute " I told you never to come here again there is nothing I can do for you now leave." I was so mad that by the time I got done telling him if he ever spoke to her like that again I would tear him apart with my bare hands and that he was the one leaving and I meant that minute. I told him if opened his mouth again I shove my fist so far down his sorry throat I'd give a free visectomy. Then I told the nusres and and friend of mine that had driven the ambulance to call me another ambulance and transfer her to Jonesboro to her stomach and lung doctor. They were so shocked by him yelling at her they could'nt move. They just stood there looking at him. I think he realized just what he had said. He turned bright red and started to say something else a which time I shut the door to my mothers room and told him to leave. I got her to Jonesboro and they tubed her stomach. She had an infection in her stomach and phneumonia. She lived another 2 years. No thanks to "I told you your were dying now go home" doctor. So forgive me if I think he is one sorry Doctor. Even if she was dying he had no right to come in mad as -----and take it on her. She may have been in tears because he hurt deeply. But I was just down right mad. I don't mean angry I mean mad. He may be a good doctor, but I for one would go to a veternarian before I would go to him for so much as hangnail. Before you start trashing me ask yourself what you would have done in my place. Scared, needing help. worried sick and holding your mothers hand.

i dont blame you one bit.hes a sorry dr.but if you will notice, paragould doesnt have any good ones.they are all the bottom of the barrell doctors.i had to use him to deliver my son.the whole time i was in there he was flirting with a nurse. asking her if she wanted to make one. i later found out she was the nurse he was having an affair with.he is a sick twisted perverted man.and i told him this.he only said oh sorry i thought you was out....WTF...i cant stand the bugged eyed freak.i do feel sorry for his wife.it has to be hell to be trapped in a marriage with him.i bet when the kids leave the nest so will she,if she hasnt already

anyone talking bad about this man needs to grow up. i've used him for many many years and he's been wonderful. i went to him for a possibility of having breast cancer and he immediately took charge and sent me to the hospital for some test. he doesn't try to kill anyone. he's a wonderful family man and doctor.. if you are going to complain about him, find you a different doctor.
I did take my mother to another DR, I didn't say he was a bad DR. I said he is ill mannered he should never have spoken to my mother the way he did. No one and I do mean no one ever spoke to my mother like that then if I was there. I just wasn't going to be the butt of another of his prozac days.

Hummmm...were you just looking for some pills? I dont think you are going to the right doctor for that. Maybe thats the problem. I have used him for over 20 years. He is one of the best Dr.s in town.

Well he had my mom on Lexapro and Cholesterol medicine and some other medicine(s) so she went and seen him AT LEAST once a month...well everytime she went her blood pressure was high and he wouldn't do anything. She told him the past year that she thought something was wrong and he told her it was nothing. She died Sept. 26, 2008 from a diabetic seizure that turned into a heart attack and I had to watch her die waiting on the ambulance. At the hosital the Dr. asked my dad what all medicines she was on and he got them out of her purse and then the Dr. asked where her diabetes medicine was...he said she was a really bad diabeteic. Dr. Kemp never once checked her the right way for diabetes, they would just prick her finger. Also, after she passed away my dad was telling his Dr. about it and he said the types of medicine she was one, Dr Kemp should of had her on another kind of medicine to counter act either the Lexapro or the cholesterol medicine or should have had her on something to go along with it since she had high blood pressure or somehting like tthat...I kind of understood what my dad meant. My mom's death was uncalled for and when you tell a Dr. something is wrong he shouldnt just ignore it, he should at least check it out and make sure.

Your last 2 sentences, if you can call them that since they are so grammatically incorrect, are simply wrong. Doctors are in Paragould for a variety of reasons. Several are simply from here and came back to serve their hometown. Some were recruited here. Some just chose Paragould as a good place to raise a family. NONE are here because they couldn't get a job (and a much better job) elsewhere.

Folks, people in Jonesboro say the same thing about their doctors and think they can't get good care unless they go to Memphis. Some folks in Memphis feel the same way and think they can't get good care unless they go to Nashville or St. Louis. Some folks there feel the same way and think they can't get competent care unless they go to Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic. The grass is always greener on the other side. That doesn't mean you should be making ignorant and flatly wrong statements about perfectly good folks right here in Paragould. If you have a personality conflict with a particular doctor, so be it. Please don't demonstrate your immaturity and ignorance by generalizing as you did to every doctor in town. Besides, if you are in some sort of accident or have a medical emergency you or your family may be in a position to be treated by the very doctors you think are incompetent. If you truly believed what you said, precisely how dumb is it to put your own life, health and welfare and that of your family on the line by living here in Paragould??? You should move away from Paragould or reconsider your statement and retract it.

if paragould is sooooo great why is it if you go into the er with chest pains...they are stumped and send you to st bernards or nea clinic?my opinion is paragould is ok for colds and hangnails but thats about it. also when i need a dr i do go to jonesboro. havent used a paragould dr in 5 years. stopped using paragould after i took my son and was told he has a sinus infection.he kept getting sicker i took him to jonesboro in 20 minutes they found he had a tumor. not just a small one either.his tumor was the size of an orange. so now you tell me.was the paragould dr a competent dr??? doesnt seem like it does it

Well I used him 23 years ago and was expecting my second child it was the middle of the night. I came iinto the hospital water broke the nurse called him he did not get there tell the right before I had my son and I had some trouble at that time and he did not check my son out after i gave brith to him. Let us leave the hospital that day. got my son home he turned blue took him back to the hospital and kemp told me I did not know what I was talking about and my son was fine.Took him back home it happen again took him back and kemp told me i was to young to have a child and did not know how to care for him and nothing was wronge with him that night it happen again took him to Jonesboro to the er and the Dr. skuggs checked him out and his lungs were not deelp and i put him down to sleep he would stop breathing and turn blue if I would have not took him to Jonesboro I would most likly not have my son alive now the man is just like most in this town a quack and don,t need to see anyone but then look at what we have in this town Cagle and Shotts, all Hollis none of them need to be working Shotts killed my dad back in 1986 and i will never be able to forgive him for that he went to the hositpal with a cheast cold and shotts went to pump fluid off him lung and it all fell on his heart and killed him he was 53 years old and had never been sick till then and i know god will make him pay for it thats the only way i can keep on living it to know that he will payI just hope i live to see him pass and know that he is getting his for taking a man like my dad.My father is with the lord now and i have tried to forgive him i know the lord wants me to and i pray that i can but it will be once i know that he has gone to answere to the lord why he killed my dad I love you Dad and you will never be forgotten

I have seen Dr. Kemp twice and both times he asked me "What should I do." If he can't do any better than that he needs to go back to medical school. He not only does not know what he is doing but he is rude. I know too everyone has bad days but if he is that moody maybe he too needs to be on Prozac or some anti-social or antidepressive medication. And before you say anything no I was not there to get my fix. I was seriously sick. I did not have insurance and that seems to be the only reason he gives a shit about helping anyone is if it fattens his pocketbook. I don't care if he has served his country or not. It does not make him a God. Many people do and don't expect people to kiss their ass like he does. Like I said if his medical advise is "what do I need to do" than go back to medical school. He is a sorry piece of shit that hides behind "I served my country." Big deal. So have many others and they don't consider themselves God. Karma is a bitch and it will one day come back to him!

I like Dr. Kemp. I have never had an apointment that went bad. He was never rude and seemed to know what he was talking about. I have been in the hospital at times for kidney stones and being ill, He was never rude or made me feel awkward or make me feel like I was a kid, as some doctors do. I am sorry for who do not like him I just thought I'd say I give him a two thumbs up.
