I worked there for 3 days, and hated every minute of it. You had to describe flower arrangements over the phone. Had to listen to customers complaints, that was not your fault. One time I had to find a flower shop that would deliver to somebody way out in the country, it was impossible. Some people are so rude. Your phone is ringing constantly. You have to know alot about flower arrangements. Which I didn't. And I'm not talking about local people. I mean, people in other states, and towns that you can't pronounce.
And then there is the credit cards that are denied. You have to call the customer back and tell them politely that their card is not approved, which means no credit. They get very affended.
Sunshine, you might like it, but it just wasn't for me.

My daughter works there, she says it's an easy job, she gets her homework done at work when the phone isn't ringing, and she cruises myspace too while she's there so it can't be that bad.

I've worked at Teleflora for 1 year and about 6 months now, and the work that you have to do isn't that bad IF you know what you're doing. Valentine's day is coming up and they will be hiring a lot of holiday temps.(seasonal work) I love most of the people I work with but some girls are dramatic (go figure). The pay for staffmark temps is 8.00 and hour and for teleflora employees it is 8.50 starting out. I'm in highschool so thats a lot better than minimum wage for me.:) I love the job I do just not so much the people I work with. You get to talk to people from everywhere. It's really cool. And customers complaining aren't that bad if you know how to handle them. And your not actually SUPPOSED to use the internet for anything but work purposes. You can get wrote up for that. Most people do it anyways though. If your interested you can call staffmark and they can get you a job there. They're looking for a lot of people for Valentines day anyways. It's a good way to make some extra money for the holidays.

Thanks.

Also...It really depends on which department you work in. Sounds to me like "angel eyes" worked in ops. In ops (operation support) you take care of problem orders. If something wasn't delivered or if you need a second choice b/c the local shop doesn't have the first arrg. the sender picked. I worked in that dept. for awhile. Pretty easy. Inbound is the dept. I work in now. In inbound you take the orders.(not as bad as ops)

I have worked at teleflora since last mothers day. I love my job even though i DO work in ops (customer support). I love to help people when something is wrong. Valentines Day is comming back and even though it is VERY hectic, I'm looking forward to work. I love the people i work with, well... some of them. If you need some extra cash for the holidays, Teleflora is the place to go. Staffmark is very friendly in helping out and Teleflora needs the help, they can always use it on the holidays. This is also an EXCELLENT place for students to work at, and they are very flexible with your hours, you tell them when you able to work, and they make your hours based on you.

Teleflora is a GREAT place to work at. Seriously, what options are there in Paragould people...factory, fast food, wal-mart, and maybe one of the hundred car dealerships around here. LOL! I have worked in every department practically: consumer direct, 24hour flowers, flowerclub, customer service, callout, tech support and it's a wonderful atmosphere. Put in an application and just see for yourself....better yet, call and ask about the different positions available. This is a great company to work for!

I HAVE WORKED AT TELEFLORA FOR 2 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER LOVED A JOB BETTER THAN HERE. OPS IS A HARD PLACE BUT IF YOUR UP FOR IT CAN BE VERY REWARDING. I ACTUALLY WORK IN SALES NOW AND I DO BELIEVE THEY ARE HIRING FOR A COUPLE OF POSITIONS THERE SO IF YOU HAVE SALES EXPERIENCE THIS WOULD BE THE DEPARTMENT TO TRY FOR. WE WORK 9-430 M-F. SO YOU WOULD EVEN HAVE TIME TO GET YOUR KIDS TO SCHOOL YOURSELF AND NOT HAVE A BABYSITTER BEFORE SCHOOL. WE WORK ON COMMISSION SO THE HARDER YOU WORK DEPENDS ON YOUR PAY. AND LIKE ONE OF THE OTHER REMARKS THAT WAS MADE UP TOP, THERE ARE NOT A WHOLE LOT OF OTHER CHOICES IN PARAGOULD UNLESS YOU WANT TO WORK AT MCDONALDS OR WALMART, SO COME BY AND GIVE IT A TRY, IT WON'T HURT TO SEE HOW IT GOES.

Not a thing wrong with working at those other places. They provide a fine living for a lot of people. Where ever you choose to work just make sure you have a good work ethic. When your at work you should be working not on the computer with personal things and homework should be done at home. Take pride in your job, give it your all, it will pay off later in life.

I work very hard at my job and to me SCHOOL is a job. I get my homework done at work because unlike most of my peers I have to pay for the things I want. Teleflora is great for getting your homework done and the work is easy. Thanks.

I know people can be negative about just about anything. Thanks hard worker for your comment, that is very true. I will be putting an application in at teleflora, it can't be as bad as some of the jobs I have had.

Well, from what I hear, you need to be in upper management or in the sales department, that's where you make the big money. I haven't heard anything bad about the place as far as working there. I would just try for one of those positions.
