The strangest part is, "Fighter" is the same guy who has been complaining under another name, about how MMA should be banned in Paragould.
Personally, I think he's just a disgruntled 15-year-old sitting at home alone in his grandma's basement, high-fiving himself when he manages to spell a word right.
Well he isn't giving himself too many of those then!

I'm not worried about me but he seems to have an almost "unhealthy" fascination of you! I think the girlfriend line is just a ploy. The only girl this guy could get would be plastic and would pop if her wrists were slit.

If you notice his previous posts there are a lot of "hidden signals" in them. Here's a re-post of one of his:

well the max i knew from the 90's he was a grate guy who knows what he is doing. i took ninjitsu from him, he was a good person to be around. i took classes from him and got to know him. he was a member of the us secret service in which he gave me some pointer and told me to follow my dreams in law-enforcment. i now teach ground fighting classes for fellow police officers in the joplin missouri area. me and my wife teaches self defense classes to abused women.. last i talked with him which has been a few years ago he was with sharron, i dont know if they split up or anything but that is his personal life..i dont know if he has changed. if he has i hope he finds his way back to the way he was. but to my knowledge in order to do fight nights, wrestling, boxing or what ever far as for comp. all who is fight and hosting the event must be licensed by the Athletic commissioner from that state.

This could have been a halfway decent post if it hadn't broken down into name calling and my schlong is bigger than yours tirades.

As for Max Bishop, I've heard good and bad things about the guy and I like to consider the sources. I've only met him once or twice but he seemed kind of cocky to me. Nothing wrong with that, just not the kind of vibe I want from my sensei.

The real root of the matter is "what are you getting into the martial arts for?". Do you just want to know how to kick someones ass? If that's the case I hear Max is good at that kind of instruction. If you are looking for more structure or discipline than by all means find someone else. Hell there are a lot of fly by night types that will give you a "BLACK BELT in a YEAR" if you sign the contract.

I love the martial arts. I respect all of those who have actually taken the time and put forth the effort to reach a level of excellence. Max seems to have done that for his particular style and discipline no matter what you might think of the man personally.

Anyway Just my opinion.

Max is a good guy,and has more training than most of us younger fighters.Have some respect for the man.He is a business man,and can protmote a great show.I honestly don't think anybody would talk bad about him to his face,or any of his fighters.

i think max is a good fighter and gives kids/young adults something to look forward to everyday or when they train. think about what those kids could be doing after school or on friday and saturday nights. they could be stoned out of their minds and drunk off their ass driving. instead, they they put their time into something good. its sad that some people on here weigh in on something that they shouldnt. what he does behinds HIS door is his problem and his business. its said that in small towns, if you forget what your doing ask a stranger cause he knows! this is what is goin on in paragould. its sad that your life must suck so bad that you worry about other peoples business/life. i think he has done something good for the kids around here. i hope he continues to inspire young adults. we need more role models for kids today. the ones who spend their days trashing people only continue the spiral downwards for their own kids. i feel sorry for them. maybe you should inspire kids in some way. i try. thats all i can do.

I beg to differ on your accusation. Max will not allow us to compete against him OR in his tournaments. His "candle" blows out when we are around.

We train shorin-ryu, I also train in american bushido. Not that you would know what either of these are, but truth is he will not allow anyone to fight against him or his fight team other than joey perry and himself. Max Bishop has faught and trained all his life, I respect him for that. If his fight team and he are so tough, why then wont they allow for others than themselves to fight? I do not believe he deserves all the credit some people give him. My opinion. Oh, and not everybody strives to get attention and lives for being on t.v.. Sure it would be fun to compete and get compinsated for it, but I do it for sport, fun, because it is something I enjoy.

I think "shamrockjim" said it well. The man teaches how to "kick ass" not the "art" form.

Well, evidently your method for getting attention is posting anonymously on internet forums.

I've known Max since around 1991, and his fight team motto has always been "anyone, anywhere". So, I find your accusation that Max or anyone on his team is running scared from you and yours just a wee bit laughable.

Where exactly do you train, and what kind of competitive outlet is it that you're looking for?

If you're looking to test your skills against MMA fighters then I know about a half dozen promoters who would accomodate you in that regard quite nicely. If you'd like to test yourselves behind closed doors the old fashioned way, then the doors to my gym are always open for some "crosstraining" and "friendly sparring".

Talk is cheap my friend.

You should have learned that lesson in "bushido".

That was one of the best shows I've seen this year. Don and Brad do a really great job. The crowd was WAY cool, too. Those folks came to watch fights and party...not start trouble.

And you call this respectful?

You are a embarrisment to martial arts. Where is your honor?

I've known Max for 4 years now. I have more respect for him than I have for most people I know.

I will fight anyone on your team. Any time anywhere.
