I worked at Darling from 99-2000 & it sucked. I started in department 2 on 2nd shift & there were 2 cute little ladies that before work would go around & see what jobs they wanted to run--with easy to meet quotas-& then they'd flirt with this set up person who was a man roughly 60-65, shake their butts at him & ask for those jobs & they'd get them. Then he'd give me shit jobs cause not only am I ugly as hell but I'm a man. I wound up bidding on a job in Area 51 where life was better but Dianna Harrison (I think that was her name) my boss, was a bitch from hell!

i think we could have more work for the plant if we did not outsource everything we can find to outsource. it may save money on the intial costs, but costs us tons of money in freight, and lost business when china can't provide us with what need for 10 weeks! and we can make it house?!? whats the deal, just make it in house, make the customer happy, and put your employees back to work!

I don't no about any of the rest of you but i have a family to feed. weather i like that place or not. I don't thank we should be bashing people on here.

i worked with deloris and i did not see that side of her. she is a very hard worker she just does not take garbage off people. if you do your job then she does not bother you and apparently you did not even know her if you don't even know what department she is in. probably a lazy person ran there mouth about her because they worked under her and she expected them to work and earn there pay. if you don't know what you are talking about then don't start things about other people. this world would be a lot better place if there were more people like here around.

Does anyone know if Sonny Parker still works there? I've lost touch with him and used to be real close friend of his.

How's he doing? My husband and I knew him and lost touch a few years ago. Last I heard he had gotten married again. I was there when his daughter was born 13 yrs ago and my shirt got ripped open and he got flashed. I was so embarressed. He's always been cool as hell. I'd like to get back in touch with him and catch up on some things. Do you know if he has email?

Tell him that we used to live across from Dog and Suds and I was the only other one in the delivery room when Whitney (his daughter age 13) was born. Our email address is [email protected] We'd love to hear from him. And him a grandpa.. That's to cute. He always was good with kids unless they were scared of the "wolfman". LOL Did he ever have anymore children?

All of manufacturing is off work for thursday and friday. Are they laying off in Paragould? I heard that Piggot was. Thanks

We cant afford to make it in house, nobody likes to do anything but take breaks and talk and smoke out side, we cant remember if were supposed to take a 15 minute break every hour or an hour break every fifteen minutes and when the jobs go else where then we just bitch and complain ;"why dont we get more work boo hoo" We employees are our own worst enemy. we dont get jobs because our costs are to high. Wake up people the amount of parts we run is directly related to the cost of the part, so dont run a days production in an hour then sit on your lazy ass the rest of the day. And lets get rid of that worthless union why not keep people based on their work ethic in stead of their senority it seems like the ones with the most senority are the laziest ones in the plant. If we dont get rid of it and we keep it, our stewards can be voted out of their positions. lets just get together and vote them out and get new ones or get rid the union. we have a union a we are the lowest paid plant in the city with the worst medical benefits. the other factories dont have unions.

Just come over there were i work an get a taste of it an you well see what work is. You people in the work cells are the ones that are takeing longer breaks an smoking out side. Not dept 7 or 51 or the paint line just the ones up front.

If the associates in 7 or paintline took a 15 min break every hour they would be walked to the door. They are the hardest workers out there with the lowest pay,and the least appreciated!

amen, the ones up front do whatever and when ever they want and no one has the balls to do anythnig about it. if they do something about it human resources lets them off. everyone knows they can get way with anything they want. The paint line, warehouse or 7 cant go where it aint right.

Amen to that, paragould employee if they went bye what you people up front bye what you do you would be the frist to go. there would not be one person left in the front. hell human resources hardly even know's were the paint line an dept 7 is. If they would go back that far they would lost. an that isn't no lie. So paragould employee If you have less time in there then me your a** will go frist. so put that in your pipe an smoke it. An am not for the union but if was not for them you may be working for 7 dollars an hr.
