I have been hooked on Vicoden for around 4 years. I can't go to rehab or I would loose my job. I have tried quiting a few times but the withdrals send me rite back. Is there anything at the health food store that would help with these. I am ready to stop for good if I can just get over the dts. Thanx

Suboxone from a doctor is about the only way to get off them painlessly.

Your doctor can help you but there will be some withdrawals and it is tough. I believe people will get serious about getting off the stuff when taking them makes them feel worse than not. There is no easy way to do it.

Do whatever it takes to get off of them. The longer you take them the harder it will be. It should be easier for you because you are wanting to stop and realize you have a problem. Doctors pass that stuff out like candy. They should be held accountable for the the rehab (just my opinion).

A friend of mine told me there was a lady doctor at Jonesboro that does detoxification. She runs blood tests and a study on you, to see what harmful substances are in your body. Not just drugs but metals and whatever that gets in your system from medicine and other ways. She does a detox geared toward your body to release those chemicals from you, not just a generalized detox.

This is not just a take this and poop for 8 hours thing. It may take 1-4 months because of the way she does it but I've heard good things about her.
I don't remember her name but ask around.
Maybe someone on here knows who she is.

I believe your insurance may pay for this.

Since you are serious about this maybe your work understand and you can take a leave of absence. Just a thought.
