I do not think anyone should be surprised that Bobby would lie and cheat. Long knew he had no integrity when he hired him. Besides, he is not a great coach anyway. Neither is Gus, at least, he has no track record to go by as a college head coach. Hogs need to go for Hugh Freeze.

Arkansas can buy out Malzahn's contract, plus pay him double his ASU salary for less than what Bobby was to be paid next season.

If I were an ASU fan, I would be very nervous.

I am an ASU fan and I am not nervous. There are three people ahead of him at this point:

Kirby Smart
Gary Patterson
Skip Holtz

The state of Arkansas does not produce a lot of blue chip recruits.

They will need someone who can recruit Texas and other southern states.

If Malzahn went to NW Arkansas now he'd be proven not to be the man he says he is. You would be welcome to your third fail in a row and I'd be happy to have found it out early.

Same with UAB and McGee.

Razorbacks are going to have to be careful with this hire.

I believe Gus will stay. Those of us who know how he got treated @ Fayettenam will say this...he wants to stick it to the hogs in the worst way. Why go back to a program that lied to you just as Petrino lied to cover his rear end.

Gus would leave ASU in a second and will leave as soon as he gets an offer from a football school, Arkansas wont offer him, they want a big time coach, not a guy who was coaching HS a few years ago.

Yeah they sure are the mediums to pick a real winner. I think Gus has too much class to dump the team that just hired him on. Might as well get ready for a major disappointment for the Hogs this year. The team will be demoralized. They will have to get a "rent-a-coach" to step in and take the helm with no time to do anything. Any of the players who would be eligible to leave either to the N.F.L. or to a real team will jump at the chance. Expect the Hogs to be the cellar dwellers of the S.E.C. for the next 2-3 years while they try to put t his embarrassment behind them.

Arkansas should jump at the chance to be the first "Text-a-play". Charge fans a small fee to text the next play which will be sent via fast 4G to Tyler Wilson's ( if he is still there and hasn't said see ya suckers ) helmet. Give a chance for all the arm chair quarterbacks to try their hand at being THA MAN!! Might could try the ole Frank Broyles "run for three and then punt for me" plays!

Arkansas has always had questionable integrity when it comes to its athletic program. Win at all costs gets you in trouble. The sad thing is they have this philosophy and still can't get there. Remember the ala and lsu games? Don't believe that the big people in he program did not know Petrino hired his mistress. Wait and see what comes of all of this. No integrity, no class, Arkansas Razorbacks. They hired a guy of questionable integrity and got what they deserved. I am not surprised.
