<quoted text> See, there's this little law called age of consent. She is underage. He is over 18. Anyone working with young people must always be carful not to blur the lines of what is and not acceptable behavior. This young girl wasn't mature enough to make that judgement call. Therefore, the responsibilities lie with the student teacher and the supervising teacher. This is common sense.
monica cluck newsom done a little prison time because she couldnt keep her pants up. but she went to prison. got knocked up by a guard. had a baby boy (oh no) AND IS NOW WORKING AROUND KIDS AGAIN. all the while claiming what a fine upstanding christian she is. AND she didnt even have to register as a sexual predator. how is that possible...and for others that want to buy their kids out of trouble...how much did it cost the parents?

I agree, you have to put the blame where it belongs--the parents. I know a "lady" that slept with all her male teachers and professors from high school to college. She was allowed to lead a very promiscious lifestyle and even briefly married one of her teachers after graduating HS that was almost 30 years older than she was. Now she is a teacher herself and her daughter (the product of one of her brief flings) is following in her shoes by being very promiscious herself because she has had little(if any) parenting. She has been allowed to run the streets of Paragould and stay out for days at a time. The many stepfathers she has had weren't allowed by the mother to help raise her and she has no repsect for the mother at all.
Ur right, URRight! Even tho the teacher should have known better to do what he did, parents need to start taking responsibility for the actions of their kids. I know exactly the teacher you are talking about and her daughter too. She's really a disgrace to PHS and hardly any of the other teachers here will have anything to do with her. She has a grown son that didn't turn out any better.

so who was the teacher? and who was the girl? I would like to know so I can keep my children away from such trash. it cannot be a secret from everyone because we have a right to know. and tothe poster who is giving someone a hard time because she or he may not live here, this is EVERYONE'S BUSINESS so stuff a sock in it. Girls are sluts today and it is a crying shame. I blame the mothers for this . Just look at how THEY dress and act!!! Now to my original question WHO are the people involved in this?
Yes some mothers are to blame but let's not forget about the fathers. Dad should be man enough to put his foot down if his daughter is dressing provocatively. The girls need to be taught decent from risqué when it comes to their clothing. But what do we expect when the style for swimwear is a suit that resembles bra and panties, the bikini. How can we teach modesty to our girls when wearing two small strips of cloth is deemed acceptable by many. Think about it. It called conditioning. Eventually there no longer is shame.

Many are not blaming just talking about the signs of the times more or less.

alot of parents dress their kids let their kids get piercings tatoos even encourage the kids activities by empowering them to be compromised look round at the kids wearing adult themed clothes, belly button and tongue piercings and then look at the parents lifestyles theirselfs cheating on their husbands and wifes and bf/gf it all directly reflects in the children that all these activities are acceptible even with age barriers greene county has kids having kids as young as 10-12 yearolds an probably younger, want to know whose fault it is is parents!
I sat in a beauty salon listening to them talk about their tattoos, both stylists and customers. I was amazed at the numbers of tattoos people have! They must think their bodies are canvases! Many young people don't think ahead to employment and how these may affect their getting a job. Who will hire some of them looking like weirdos? Unbelievable.

Okay people...you are all talking as if he's already been convicted of something. This thing hasn't even played out yet. He's not been to court. We haven't even heard ANYTHING from the alleged victim. Did you ever stop to think maybe he's innocent? And maybe she's lying to get attention like a lot of young girls tend to do? I'm in no way supportive of the ACCUSED actions...but for now that is all they are. ACCUSATIONS.

I couldn't agree more. I personally know the guy who has been accused of this and have known him for several years and even went to college with him... And judging by his character; a Williams baptist student, a college athlete, very smart, responsible young man.. Hardworking... Comes from a good Christian family.. I could go on and on about him.. I honestly just can't see him doing such a thing. Not saying he didn't because its very possible that he did, but I know him too well. And I also know how young girls are this time and day. They arent innocent! Girls at that age will make assumptions of a nice, good looking man that he is flirting and will even fantasize. Then, her friends will get involved.. Gossiping.. Then before you know it, teachers over hear the story. BUT if he did do such a thing, then yes.. He was very wrong and will pay the consequences. I just want throw out there that he is a good person and I just wish people wouldn't make assumptions about the case right now until the truth comes out. Until then, prayers is what both the girl and her family... And the guy and his family need right now. Please remember that there are two sides to every story.

We do not have the "right" to know! The girl is a MINOR! As for the teacher, his name is all over the news. You should try reading the news and maybe a little about the law if the terminology isn't too difficult for you to understand, and maybe you wouldn't come across as such an idiot when you speak
how dare YOU call me an idiot. And I and every one else has the right to know who this SLUT is so maybe our family will not get mixed up in their ignorance such as hers and YOURS. Paragould is made up of retards.

im sure the 14 year old agreed to have sex, im sure it wasnt molestation. its terrible how the generation these days are. 11 year olds getting pregnant, i mean kids who are 12, 13, 14, 15 are the biggest whores these days. ive seen it. these little girls are trying to get inbetween my and my boyfriends relationship all the time. its so annoying its like they dont have anything better to do than to have sex. and the most sadder part is, theyve had sex more times than me and my friends combined, and thats alot. i mean take chealsa hyde for example. the girl is what 15 or 16, idk. shes had sex with tons of guys that i cant count. and she has stds. but shes so young. shes already messed her life up with hiv i believe.
but my point is, dont feel bad for the 14 year old. she had every part in it just like the guy did. shes to blame as much as he is.

I know a professor at asu who used to be a teacher in a public school who married a former student he went out with while she was a student. Someone ask Tom kimbrell where he met his wife and he is the leader of public education in the state.

Our culture is saturated with sex, even the commercials on TV are sex ladened. The programs and movies are all about sex. Then there are the magazines the teens read and the music they listen to. Add to this mix the out of control hormones then you know what you get; the product teen of today, an immature 30 year old at the age of 11-18 with their fantasies that have been fueled by talking to their peers.

This is what we, as adults, have allowed to be produced. We control what our teens wear, watch and with whom they associate to a degree. It would be a lot of work and sacrifice to change it but we could. That's called parenting; a tough job that makes us the mean guy at times but it is not a popularity contest. Good luck to al of us.

Well, you had that to happen right here at Tech I believe it was the early 80s with a teacher who married a student.
