Student teacher. No affiliation with Tech, however he was helping basketball. Think Bowlin has any influence over these young men? That's two in a row. Rumors were he did the same thing in Rector.

I'm curious to know who the girl was. Sooner, or later, they are going to have to start taking "some" responsibility for these things. Yes, he should be punished, but she should be expelled. Maybe that would stop some of this kind of behavior

She's 14... Why are you so concerned about who the child is?

Obviously you are a member of the child sex offenders fan club. Since when should a child be punished for being hurt? Idiot!

See, there's this little law called age of consent. She is underage. He is over 18. Anyone working with young people must always be carful not to blur the lines of what is and not acceptable behavior. This young girl wasn't mature enough to make that judgement call. Therefore, the responsibilities lie with the student teacher and the supervising teacher. This is common sense.

What about parents. Parents need to start parenting their 14 year old instead of letting them have the opportunity to rendezvous with older males Don't get me wrong the intern is the adult and responsible but parents know these things happen and they need to keep better tabs on their daughters and what they are doing. Check their texts email etc.

I am not defending anyone in this matter but I would like to know why a child is not mature enough to know what they are doing at this age(12-17)when it comes to sex with an adult. If it was a homicide they would be charged as an adult. It's a double standard. If they are mature enough to know what they are doing when they kill, then they mature enough to say NO to an adult.Adult should get prison and the girl should go to something like boot camp or something.Somewhere where they can be taught morals and right from wrong and not be treated as a victim.Victims are those who absolutley don't know any better and are forced physically as well as mentally.

You are right on all accounts. But a child's brain isn't developed until age 21 or older. That's one reason the decisions are irrational so often. It appears the student teacher wasn't so mature either.

I'm reminded of the old SNL spot where Dana Harvey played Church Lady. When he interviewed someone who had found themselves in compromising positions he would asked them why they did the deed. He would ask," Could he be Satan?" I say," Don't rule it out." He roams the earth seeking whom he may devour I Peter 5:8 I fear someone might have been devoured.

The student teacher will pay for what he did. At lest I hope so and I hope the young lady learns a lesson as well. But let's remember , this could be our child.

Let's remember those years when the hormones are raging and nearly every thought is influenced by them. The moods and emotions run amuck. Then add in TV and Hollywood influence plus the attention of an " older man" much like the college professor and student but by.then the students are of age.

I, too hope there is remorse on part of the girl and she will realize that the guy will pay with the loss of his career and maybe she gave away something that should have been precious to her.

As my mother would say,"It's a mess."

alot of parents dress their kids let their kids get piercings tatoos even encourage the kids activities by empowering them to be compromised look round at the kids wearing adult themed clothes, belly button and tongue piercings and then look at the parents lifestyles theirselfs cheating on their husbands and wifes and bf/gf it all directly reflects in the children that all these activities are acceptible even with age barriers greene county has kids having kids as young as 10-12 yearolds an probably younger, want to know whose fault it is is parents!
