Wow. I am truly amazed at how heartless people can be. You calling yourself "GOD", I think you mean "SOB" because you seem like one heartless sob. I feel sorry for you and will pray that you can learn compassion. You seem to be confused on just what compassion really means. The simple fact is a family lost a loved one. They are hurting and don't need these negative comments. To those offering condolences, that's very kind of you. He was a good person and will be missed by many. He's my cousins son and I have many, many fond memories of him. As for the truck driver, yes, offer up prayers for him as I'm sure this is hard on him, too. That's doesn't mean prayers for him to get money out of it. Pray for him to come to terms with it, find peace with it.

So you don't want the driver to get any money.

I'm sure there was damage to his truck
Blood brains whatever. He lost money by not being able to work.
Then the mental aspect.

He deserves a bundle.

Looks like a greedy family!!

I dont know the story. Frankly it doesnt matter now he is gone. If he did commit suicide some sd he was selfish for not thinking of others...well if he committed suicide duh he wasn't thinking clearly or he wouldn't have committed suicide. Unless u have dealt with depression and suicidal thoughts then u cant talk about the hurt it causes. I feel sorry for the person killed the family and the truck driver. Offering up prayers that they may all find comfort in the future. Every mourns and grieves differently. And for the guest with the name of god.....he is just saying those mean things to stir the pot

This man that took his life by walking out in front of a trucker not only took his own life but also took the truckers life in a sense of a way. This trucker will be put through test after test to prove his innocents . He will have the on his DOT record. His insurance will be pulled for every thing it can be.He will have to live with this every day of his life. The first time he sits behind the wheel of that big rig every thing will rush back and he will not know if he can even start the truck or not. That is if he has a job to go back to and the company dont fire him for it .For the next 5 years at least he will have a hard time getting a job because he will have to tell the person in a interview or a application about haveing a fatality on his record. Seems the trucker is always left to be the bad one. From some one that knows.

John, most of the posters don't even have the first clue at what kind of problems this brings on a driver of a big rig. Yes I feel sorry for the man that lost his life but did he ever stop to think what kind of life he was leaving the driver of the truck with? Maybe he did have mental issues but guess what people this poor driver is going to have to deal with this the rest of his life. This wont be a few minutes and it is over. There need to be more drivers of these big rigs on here standing up for your rights.

Still tho it seems like it would have to mess with this drivers head. Next time he's driving down the road & someone is standing or walking on the side of the road, he's gonna have to flinch a bit & wonder, "what if....".

I guess I missed where this person said something about compensation. There are a lot of Guest posters. But anyway, the driver did not do anything wrong, that is true. And any REAL TRUCKER IS going to have problems. It may not be on his driving record, but some companies do not care if the accident is your fault or not they will still fire you. I hope he will be able to keep his job if that is what he wants. Even if his job is not in danger he will be affected mentally, this might not allow him to ever drive again. So don't tell me what REAL TRUCKERS feel. I've been around them my whole life. One of them put food on the table. This poor mans(driver) life has been change forever, because of one mans decision. I did not know the man ever well but he was a great guy, i just wish he would have realized that he was as loved as he was.

This is truly a sad situation, however, the driver will be penalized even if he was not at fault. This is thanks to the new Csa rules that came to be in 2010. He will have points assesed to his record because there was a fatality. This is so unfair and ridiculous. I know, I deal with this every day. Aside from the mental stress, the driver will have this hanging over him for a period of three years and could and probably will loose his job because the company that owns the truck or has it leased will also get points assesed. He will be a liability to the company thus lowering their CSA score. So unless he is been with the company for areally long time , they will more than likely let him go. Truly a tragedy.

If his family would have been as concerned with his life as they are his money he may not have chosen to be a hood ornament!!!

Your post makes not sense at all. Do you even know his family? Clearly, you do not.

Let me tell you this will have all the effects that I said . There are truckers in my family and there has me a fatality . Even if it is not the truckers fault you will never know what they are put through with our legal system . They take a trucker and tear him or her a part so untill you are involved in a accident that is not your fault and it turns your life upside don't dont tell me I don't know . Hopefully you will never know.

I feel compassion for you and your family, but this still doesn't change the fact that this man's family is NOT responsible for his actions.

The driver should be compensated out of his estate BEFORE any one else gets a dime!!!

His family is not responsable.
And his family should profit LAST!!!
