He's a Greene County Deputy Coroner, not a Deputy.

Yes Stephen Pace, Jason Bolin, Sam Hayes were the dep coroners on scene and Stephen and Jason both work for Paragould PD also. Need to keep this factual if you put the effort to post here.

That means he was filling in for his dad last night...His dad is the Greene County Deputy Coroner...that is his title. There are about 3 people who work under Mr. Pace (On a part time basis)

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT)- Three people were pronounced dead late Friday night into Saturday morning after a head-on collision along highway 49 North of Paragould.
The accident happened around 9pm Friday night, shutting down highway 49 for hours.
The Arkansas State Police investigation shows that a Ford Aero Van driven by Elaine M. Rossiter crossed the centerline hitting a Cheverolet driven by Tony A. Wilson and his passenger Johnnie R. Rowe. Wilson's vehicle left the road and flipped over. When emergency crews arrived on the scene they found the van on fire.
All three victims of the accident were pronounced dead at the scene by Greene County Deputy Coroner Stephen Pace. All victims involved in the accident were from Paragould.
As usual, the press has this story all screw up again. Wilson was alone in his vehicle. The other two were in the van which burned. Come on KAIT, get it right.

Tony Wilson was my friend. And I know for a fact that he was alone and that he had been drinking that night. I seen him 10 minutes before it all happened, but I didn't he about the accident until this morning. I pray for their families. May GOD help us through such a hard time as this.

If you were a witness to the accident, you really need to speak to Mike Carter of the state police. It is reported that the van is the one that caused the accident. I personally know several people that worked the accident last night and it was their determination that the suv caused the accident too. The record needs to be set straight. Please come forward. The families of all 3 that lost their lives in this need to have closure as to what really happened & how and I am sure the insurance companies will need to know the true facts. If you haven't went to the Arkansas State Police link already, log onto the website for the names & ages of these people...it will make you think twice on coming forward. Do what is right & call Mike Carter now. People need to know the truth. God rest their souls.
I took some more steps when I got home and called and spoke with dispatch at the Sheriff's Department, I gave her my name and phone number and she told me the state trooper would call me after he got done speaking with the families at the hospital. I have not yet recieved a call from him.

Because it is the truth and I think that they need to know the truth about what happened. And to let you know I can relate to how they feel I was a good friend of his.

This guy in the suv was driving about 80mph, How do I know because I was in front of the vehicle that got hit, We were heading to marmaduke and he almost hit the truck in front of me and then myself he was about 1', accross the centerline when he went by us. He did not brake or swerve then either. I tried to explain to our dandy constable, but he didnt care. I guess he can figure out what happened for himself. I am unaware if the man was drinking, or had health problems, etc, but my thoughts and prayers go out to both families.

Call the state police and ask for Mike Carter.(nine thirty five - seventy three 0 four)Don't wait on GCSO to pass on the message. Also, I think the duck hunter (as I will call him) should call him too.

Yes I was in the Durango behind you. We contacted the State Police via email and they are suppose to be getting in touch with me. We were very scared also. It was very close to being you or us in that wreck. If I were you I would contact them also because we told them that there was another truck in front of us that was almost hot also. And that the person in the SUV was partially in the other lane.

IZEDA,
We are trying to get back on track. It hurts to drive through paragould. This really broke my heart to hear of another fatality on hwy 49. WE are trying to hang in there. God will take care of us. We really miss and love him.. Wish he could be here. God had other plans'. Thank you for thinking of our family
