Its not really that freaky I used to live in one of the apt. the tunnels go from the houses to the garages that are under the apts. which belong to the houses. the ats. used to be maids quarters many years ago.

yes..my dad remodeled one of the house about 4 yrs ago. They were originally built by people who came over from Germany during WWII. So the German family built the houses and tunnels leading to the garage or back apartments. This was a escape route in case Germany ever made it to the U.S. There is also secret safes built in walls in both houses. I know this for a fact, I seen them.Could figure out the codes. yes the house are neat, but very small choppy rooms. At least the one my remodeled a years ago. The other ones rooms were a bit bigger. Anyway they do have an incredible history!! Oh one of the houses tunnels have caved in so you can not get thru to the back garage or apartment.

They had for sale signs in the yard not to long ago. I dont know if they rent or what. My dad remodeled them for a man to sale. But like I said that was 4 yrs ago. They are very neat houses. Yes, the houses are still there!

there is one of them for sale I think for 78 thou. its easy to find online I think on the century 21 website but could be dickinsons anyways there are more house's in that area that have tunnels to them also and some owners have sealed them off due to insurance reasons.. sad.... pay the extra insurance and keep a part of history

yes there is a safe in the house on the left. The house on the right has a safe in the basement to the right of the fireplace. It is a little harder to see! But its there. I never felt weird in there! Yes people who came over here during WWII built the houses. They made alternate escape routes with the tunnels. You can go to the court house and research who built it originally!
