Its sad when something bad happens that the first thing you do is play the blame game! Everyday I see people drive careless doesn't matter if I'm in my car or on my motorcycle, accidents happen people do not intentionally set out thinking who can I hit today. But getting on here bashing people is wrong it only hurts the victims. Think before you speak Brent's family should not have to get on here and justify why their son has a bike or how it happened! My thoughts do go out to everyone involved and I hope Brent recovers soon and gets back to riding!

Brent fan wrote: Brent did not lose a foot. He has a compound fracture of his right femur. But that is the only severe injury. The woman driver told the police she didn't see him. I'm sure she is heartbroken, and I am sorry for her, and now that I have heard from Brent himself this morning, I can find it in me to pray for her. I know she didn't do it on purpose. She just didnt see him. He is awake, alert, complaining about various medical equipment he wants gone, and wants UP out of bed. The boy is a miracle! It is unreal to me that he didn't have any internal injuries, but he didn't. And he's already saying he will ride again... That was the sweetest voice I'd heard all day, when he called me this morning. He has a long recovery ahead, but he's ok. A terrible case of road rash, but he's ok. That boy has people all over the country praying for him. Don't ever tell us that God doesn't hear and answer prayers. I witnessed it yesterday. I am so happy to hear this. Every since my husband and I heard of this incident we have prayed for him and his family. I'm sure they all know how lucky they are to still have him. Its been 2yrs ago in April that we got a knock at the door saying my husbands brother and sister in law had just been hit and were being flown to Memphis. We had just seen them that afternoon before they left for their ride. We saw Candid one last time, they flew her from ammc. But that afternoon was the last time we would see Dennis again. The airlifted him from the scene...He never made it to Memphis. We got called in jonesboro and told to stop at New that's where he was. The most heartbreaking thing I have ever witnessed, was knowing he didn't make it, and waiting in that room with my husband and his parents when they told them. I cant tell people enough, how ur decisions effect other people for the rest of their lives. My brother in laws 2children will never understand how much their daddy loved them and how wonderful he was. They were 4 and1, and all because someone was in a hurry. Just doesn't seem worth it to me. They were 27 we buried them side by side, and I am so greatful that this young man is going to be ok. I don't know him, but I do know that their were a few angels watching out for him. GOD BLESS.

He told us in the trauma CCU that he plans to ride again when he's able. He is my sons best friend. He spends as much time here as he does at home when he's not working. When the boys were in high school, he was here all week end, every weekend and I love that boy like he was one of my own. He is fearless, but he won't be vaulting 4 foot fences any time soon!! Brent claims us as his adopted, extended family. And he is just a wonderful young man. I know Brenda and Les are very proud of the young man he's become. And I am so glad to call them my "family" too. Brent is ok. Or he will be, rather. He was not at fault, the lady driving the car was, but it was an accident. She didn't mean to do it and I'm sure she is heartbroken and crushed by guilt. I know it's easy to judge and think the motorcycle was at fault, because we've all witnessed people on (mostly) crotch rockets driving irresponsibly, but I can tell everyone with all certainty that Brent had a healthy respect of his bike. He never rode without a helmet, and he was always careful. Let's just give both families involved here a break and let this thread die, please? Thank you.

I hope your son has a fast recovery. I want to say that I have nothing against peoples choice of motorcycles. I have friends that ride. I wish I where brave enough to ride. I am just to afraid of the danger. You are right, our kids reach a certain age and all we can do is pray they will be safe! no offense takin. Its been a long stressful week. Were just glad both parties are ok. Evry1 have a great fathers day sunday.

Mrs Gann I'm glad my son has friends like your family that think so much of him. I know my mom and dad are too. U'll be seeing alot more of me in the future. This was a eye opener for his dad. We could have lost him. I just wanted to say thank you for being there for him. Y'all are awesome friends or really family to him

We love him so much, you just don't know. We are so proud of both the boys, they're not your typical teenagers today. They're respectful, hard workers, and pull their pants up!! ;-) I am glad you're going to be there more for him. You're in for a real treat! And thank you too, for being willing to share. I don't know what we'd do without him. But I have a feeling my garden and I are about to find out. Lol....he's been helping me with it this summer. Spoke to Brenda yesterday, she said you were building a ramp for Brent. We have lots of carpenters around here who would be glad to pitch in, we built one into my house when my mother was sick, so we've done it before and learned what NOT to do. Lol

We have video footage from the wreck where the boy driving throw truck turned on a yellow light. Not an arrow, saying stupid things like the comment you just made. Just shows your level of ignorance, my husband had better not ever find out who you are, What an ignorant piece of shit you are.

its a known fact, many ppl get mangled and killed everyday on bikes. U have no protection like vehicles and u have to expect the worst and hope for the best when u climb on. If u ride long enough u WILL be taken down at sum point! Either by your own mistakes or others. Every rider knows the risks, and they all know that they are hard to see on the road

That's why I say everyone needs yo pay extra attention.
