I am looking to enroll my little girl in dance. And have heard some great things about Tabatha's and was wondering how to get in contact with her. I have called her studio several times and left my name and address, but she has not send me the info. Does anyone go there that can give me some info? How much? When are classes?

Why would you pick her to teach your child? Sorry I've just taken mine to both. they are both graduated now but i was there when Tabitha came in and bought a few private lessons from heather and then she started a studio for the dance team something like a month later. NO training. No if you just want your child to jump around and do the dance team stuff then OK. but if you want the real stuff then the dance co. is your best shot anywhere. we didn't leave on good terms there but those were the best years of my life and my daughter's. We started with just a 3 year old class once a week and by age 5 she was competing all over the US. It was a wonderful experience. Now my daughter that has more than a few hours of experience is wanting to start her own studio. I plan to help her dream come true. bottom line tho she would never got to where she was without ms. heather and ms. green. It all hard to put up with but it is like that everywhere.

my daughter took her first year at Tabatha's last year and she loved it. We spent 4 years before that at a studio in Jonesboro and finally left there after too much b/s. The studio in Jonesboro is just out for your money and if you aren't willing to fork out all your money for monthly classes and privates your child will get no where there.
As for Tabatha's she worked great with my daughter and she is looking forward to going back. Tabatha's comepetition class only does 1 competition a year. I kink of like that but my daughter likes to do more. But Tabatha feels that too many competitions on the younger kids are just too much for them.
She is very hard to get ahold of on the phone. She also does the Paragould Dance team and GCT jr. high dance team.
She should be having registration sometime this month and classes will most likely start after Labor Day weekend. As far as when the classes are it will depend on what class you are in. Regular dance class or competition. Not sure how much the regular dance classes are but competition classes were $65.00 last year and we went for 1 hour and 45 minutes a week and it was done on one night.
Hope this all helps. Keep trying to call her and if I hear anything on when registration will be I will post it here.

We also started at Tabathas and soon changed. She is impossible to get ahold of. I felt like we were not important because no matter how many messages I left nobody would return a phone call. There are many options be sure and check them all out.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tabatha. My daughter has taken dance from her for 7 years and loves it. Tabatha is hard to get ahold of because she is so busy. One school starts she will be at the studio almost every night.

Registration for Tabatha's is August 25th & 26th @ 5:30 @ Tabatha's Dance Co. Classes will begin on September 8. She is a busy woman with 5 dance teams. She is a great teacher. She takes her classes to competition and there is one recital a year. Her dance team prep class is wonderful! She has several dancers from her studio that are now on college dance teams with scholarships!

the reason I am wanting to talk to ms.Tabatha is that I have been told by other moms that go to the Dance Co. is that they don't let moms go with the girls to class and I have a shy 3 year old. Until she gets used to going and gets to know the teachers well she will just cry and that is not the kind of experance I would like to have for my child.

Thank everyone for the info.

I know Tabatha, and she is very busy cause she does a good job. She doesn't always answer her phone, true, but she has been dancing for a long time and knows how to teach. She is a natural at it.

PLEASE don't let a young child go to that crazy Dance company with Mrs. Green, you can ask anyone about her, she won't let the little girls go to the bathroom and you aren't allowed in because she humiliates them and treats them like crap!! Tabatha does know her stuff and has a great background, ask her about her dance experience!! Don't make up stuff if you don't know her back ground! She sure didn't learn from the Greens and then go open her own...whoever said that is full of crap!

Ok...Tabatha is a Wonderful teacher! My daughter has been there for 6 years ever since she was 3 years old. This past year was my daughter's first year to compete. Her group received a 2nd and 4th placing at the event in their age group. That says A LOT when this was the first year for all the girls except for 2 of the girls in the group.

The Green's on the other hand, they are absolutly awful! My best friend in high school had taken dance from there while we were in school, and I remember one day in the 6th grade, she came to school with 2 stitches in her head right at the hair line. Mrs. Green had pulled her hair SO TIGHT for a performance that it began ripping!

And eventhough that has been several years ago, I still continue to hear the same type of stories...

Why would you say not to make up stuff about tabithas when you are making up stuff about the greens? That is pathetic.

Pathetic? No need to make up stuff about the Greens! They do enough craziness for themselves!

My daughter was at the Academy for several years and learned much about technique. However, she was miserable and the expenses were enormous. She started at Tab's 5 years ago and she loves Tab and the easy going style there. Just because Tab is laid back and not ultra obsessive about dance doesn't mean she isn't good! You just have to decide what you want for your kid--the chance to be a kid or major dance training. Because I can tell, if you send her to the Greens, she'll have no life. EVERYTHING revolves around dance/classes. There will be no time for anything else.

Tabatha is an amazing teacher. I have been a student of hers for 10 years now and I would not change it for the world. I was on Tech Jr. High for 3 years and I absolutely loved her choreography. I still take classes at her studio today and I enjoy every minute of it. Yes, she doesn't always answer her phone when you need her but she is a very busy woman. The experience that she carries in dance is excellent. She has always encouraged me to do better and that's what continues my love for dance. She is a very wonderful woman and an outstanding teacher. If you want your child in dance, go to Tabatha's Dance Co. Seriously people, it's amazing and your kid will love it. Any student can learn so much from Tabatha and she helps them out until they get it. She will never let you down. I love Tabatha ..She rocks! She doesn't act like a strict hardcore teacher who is super mean, we act like a family. It's a comfortable and well taught enviroment. Be smart and take your kid to Tabatha's!

That is correct PAA does not let parents in the class room with the kids but it is a good thing. One of my girls took from another studio where we could sit in and watch. The parents talked and the kids paid more attention to who was looking at them than what the teacher was trying to teach them. When you have 10-15 2-4 year olds in a class room and 10-15 parents, you cannot teach and they cannot learn. I couldn't set through preschool class with my children either but after a few days they didn't think anything about it. After a few weeks at dance it is the same way (since they only see them once a week). Some children may cry the first couple of weeks for the first few minutes of class then they are fine. If a child is really unhappy one of the teachers can go in the class and bring your child out if you want them too. The teachers want the best experience for your child just like you do.

Some of you people are getting a little nuts! I have four kids ages 2-12 that dance with the Green's and absolutely love them! Yes she is all about dance but that is her life and business. You expect your lawyer to be all about the law and your dr. to be all about making you feel better and knowing his medicine. BTW kids come out of class all the time to use the bathroom... She is not a monster! She is an amazing dance instructor and we have a room full of trophies and have traveled all over the US for National Competitions to prove it.
Tabitha is great at what she does and so are the Greens. There is no reason to be nasty about people.
