Streets in town
Let it snow

I just talked to a cop from night shift at 4:30 am. I asked about streets and he said they were bad at places. He said there had been some wrecks.

KAIT said at 10 PM Oak Grove was out of power. Anywhere else out?

Keep those cell phones charged!

A car will drag in some places on town streets in a regular car. It's slick. Where's my 4wheel drive I wanted for Christmas?

Stay home, let it thaw, enjoy the $5,000 you saved by not getting the 4x4 option.

4x4's are getting around fine, non-4x4's are not. By noon the main roads should be ok. Side roads (Rockingchair,Fairview) will be nasty most of the day.

Then it will re freeze tonight. I am not going anywhere for a while.

Does anyone know what the snow accumulation was for Paragould? We measured 7" in our yard, but I don't know how "official" that is.

I can't believe how the county crews did the roads out in the county. They went down the middle of the roads with the road grader. This rolled up 3' drifts in each lane and when you meet another vehicle. You're luck that someone doesn't get stuck. Why not leave it alone or grade both sides of the road.

at least an effort was made in the county,if you want to fuss just go to town, guess the mayor is planning a big vacation this year, i saw a lady walking in snow up to her but,i ask her if i could give her a ride, she said she was trying to get to work at the hospital,an help was on the way to get her car to her,saw an ambulance waiting on a car to get out of ruts so he could get on his way. people were talking at walmarts they were saying they just don't believe nothing was done in town, this gey said the mayor an chief are mad at the people,so that is what they get. thanks to our county law out busting their but trying to help people,i know because we can still get road conditions an weather on scanner, guess dan doesn't have anything to hide like our big chief!oh maybe he spent our cleanup money on the sneakie scanners so he can do as he pleases an no one knows, but we are watching!at the intersections where the hiway dept was gradeing, you have to have a truck to get over the piles of ice, where is the streat dept? now mayor do you want to anwer that
or do you want to answer that?

You all are like a bunch of spoilt brats. You whine no matter what is done. Do you know what a blizzard is about? Monitor and adjust. Then shut up.

the only thing that really bothered me was some stoplights had snow covering the light part & there were a couple times I had to slam on breaks cause couldn't tell it had changed. As long as everyone exercises caution, we'll all be fine.:)

I think I'd rather have nothing, at least I could meet someone in passing without getting hung up on a snow bolder.
