Has anyone else had a problem with this place? It used to be our favorite place to eat, and yet it seems to be getting worse and worse everytime we go. Well today topped all. The sauces, that I normally love, were awful and honestly ruined my food. The service was awful. We all had empty drink glasses while we were there. Then when we paid our bills, I put exact change in the black bill thing they give you, and planned on leaving the tip on the table. I heard the tall, real skinny male waiter say a crude comment about me not leaving a tip, and he looked at me. I thought maybe I was taking it out of context. Well then my friend got her credit card slip to sign, as she was trying to fill it out, he tried to grab it up from her twice. She kept telling him she wasn't done. The third time he came for it, she was done, and right by us he flipped it open and hollared "$1! Gee thanks that's all we get! You've got to be kidding me!"

Point is, we would have tipped more, if the service was better. Plus, after his attitude, he didn't even deserve anything. We did talk to the manager about it, but needless to say, nothing got taken care of while we were there.

I love this place, and want to know what's going on with it. Has anyone else had bad experiences there?

I haven't eaten there in a few months, but it is one of the better Japanese steak houses I've been to. I am sorry to hear about the bad service. Hopefully it was just an isolated incident.

The last time my wife and I were there it was just horrible. The food was awful, they were serving shrimp that had'nt been "de-veined" and the service was horrific. All the times we had been there before, it was always a fantastic experience. We have started noticing though that they are serving less food than they used to, the service seems to be getting worse and worse, and the wait for a grill seat is longer and longer even if nobody is there. We had to sit for 45 minutes one day waiting for other people to join our section before they would fire up the grill. That is just ridiculous. Then while we were waiting, our glasses sit empty for almost 30 minutes before anyone ever come to check on us. I havent been back since, especially since the last shrimp incident. GROSS!!! Nothing like a plate full of shrimp with the POOP tract still attached. YUMMMM!!!!!! Then when I said something to the cook about it, he threw them back on the grill and scraped them out right there with the spatula he was using to cook veggies. I WILL NOT GO BACK!!! TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THAT KIND OF SERVICE!!!!!!!!!

See that's what I'm talking about. It used to be awesome! But everything has gone downhill. That's why I posted this to find out.

We also went about a month ago, and sat in the back, in the new section they added on. We sat with another couple, and got to talking to them. The waitress brought all of us our drinks, and we never saw her again. The couple started telling us that last time they sat in the back, the same thing happened.

I just don't understand what's happened to the place

I know the service at Fuji's is getting worst, my little boy use to love the shows. They don't do half of the stuff they use to. Food is still good but the shows SUX!

They also have cut their portion sizes. They took my wifes debit card once and didn not return it. Then they argued up and down that they did not have it. I went up to the register and found the card lying on the edge of the counter. They did not apologize or anything. I hate going there, the only reason we go is because our kids love it.

That's the only reason I go too, is because of my child. But not anymore! Even she said she doesn't want to go back after our last experience

Friends and I froze last time we were there, sitting in the back. The service was not horrible, but it definitely could have been better.(We had to wait a while to get our check.) However, the sushi is always good, even compared to high end sushi I've had in Memphis. My boyfriend loves the crab salad.
