So you walked into a pawn shop and explained that the stuff they're selling is actually your stuff and they didn't just hand everything over to you? That's crazy!

If you waited til now that is why they will not do anything . There was two separate reports one by my sister at the time of the break in. An when I got back into town from my work a week later . A more detailed report.

This is paragould . we have the worst excuse for law enforcement if it had any value and the pictures was detailed enough to prove it was yours i would take it to court , but i figure it would be cheaper to just buy your own stuff back.

I have looked for the items that was stolen for over 6 months now . I have told the PPD and the GCSO about it and showed them pictures of the items. The items were stolen in the county. The PPD said that they could'nt do anything cause it happen in the county . But the stuff that was stolen is now in the city limits . The county keeps putting me off an will not return my calls .

Will the pawn shop not have a receipt ? Can you just walk into a pawn shop and just sell anything without showing any kind of I.D.?

My experience with stolen goods from a pawn shop is that you have to buy them back at the price the pawn shop paid. If they catch the person that stole them, and prosecute, they will have to pay you back. If not you have paid for your property twice.

Most of the time you have to serial numbers or catch them in the act. Or you could engrave your name in the items. Otherwise it will be hard to prove its yours.

Some of our stuff had our names on it. Also we had serial numbers on the TV's tools etc. the guy pawned it under his real name and they still made us buy it back. I couldn't believe it.

I would be on the phone with a lawyer ASAP! You can get something done and if I had to take it to court I would.

well we had cameras up and had an EXCELLENT pic of the people who broke into our house.took it to the police. and they said they couldnt do nothing either!!!!! so we did a little searching,my husband and 3 of his BIG friends went to their house...showed them the video....asked if they wanted to give our stuff back or did they want us to take it to the police.... we got the tv. but the x box and games had already been pawned. our stuff was at triple t, too...

Take your evidence and story to the Daily Press, maybe they can put the heat on Triple T and the cops.

that place is known for buying and selling stolen property typically though the police would confiscate the items and return to rightful owner if proven to be stolen so something doesnt add up!
