Interesting. A nicely written post not full of slander or hate or biased BS. No finger pointing or intentionally trying to push buttons.George is being led around by a nose ring by that million dollar lawyer who is going to make sure he gets his fame and money. The whole idea of opening a website for contributions and allowing him to tell his story while standing trial for murder is in itself an example of incompetence on the behalf of his council. He has also allowed George to appear on Fox News to give interviews.
I have made no secret that my belief is (based on what I've read) George is guilty of manslaughter and should spend a few years in jail.
But I also 100% strong support a fair trial for George.
Him being allowed to discuss the case with the public in order to raise money for paying legal fees seems centered towards the attorney's better future more than George's.
I think George should pay for the unneccesary death of Trayvon Martin, but I don't want to see him railroaded.
Having a father who himself was a state supreme court judge, you'd think this wouldn't be happening to George.
Nice job Cathouse. Let me respond in the same manner.
I agree with you 100% on the fair trial and the manslaughter charge. I think there needs to be another charge added for him refusing to stand down when he was told too. That refusal to stand down is what escalated the entire situation into the loss of life.
Allowing Zimmerman to talk and raise money and tell his story repeatedly assures the defense of an unfair trial. With all the national bad press and good press this case has gotten and is getting it will be impossible to fill the jury box with impartial people who are not familiar with this case.
It may be a play to line the pockets of the defense attorney but I think, more than that, it's a move to set up a mistrial motion, an acquittal, or even just get it thrown out.
The stand your ground law is a good law but it needs to be defined that your ground is not the entire neighborhood.
Trayvon was a human. Any human who is followed, harassed, harangued, and badgered enough will come out fighting. Zimmerman instigated the attack and should be punished.
MSNBC should be sued by both families for editing tapes and pictures and making the crime racially fueled.
