the gentleman scammed out of the money for magazines, wonder if that was door to door. I had a fella visit me Sept 5 offering magazines, and had a real difficult time withe my NO THANKS answer.

A girl combed my neighborhood about a week ago... saying she was in a contest to get picked to study abroad... As she explained she was a communications major she pulled many pamphlets, booklets, etc. from hidden spots in her rear waste bands and pockets. My wife just said, Sorry, I'm not interested and the girl was shocked. this girl got a somewhat angry voice saying so you dont want to help me win the contest......My wife non emotional said NO and shut the door. I hate door to door....... Even for good organizations they are a rip off...I'd rather just write a blank check for 10 dollars etc. to the organization DIRECTLY, instead of buying 10 dollars of wolf gang candy or magizines. You buy the products and I bet maybe 1 dollar goes to the organization the rest goes to the product company.. In this day in age, I'd never leave my kid go door to door...Unless attended by me... Like said before, If I have my kid in the club, team, etc. I rather just write the check to cover my kids expenses than run all around town taking orders, getting money, then having to deliver the stuff......
