They let drug activty go on even after being told, they make sure not to be in the area to "INVESTIGATE" that would cost to much. Meth is a problem in Paradise yet PPD seems to endorse it go along with it or simply allow it to happen. Breifing is a big problem in our Police Dept. Mr. Billington, Hagenbart wont tell oyu that but our good citizens will. Billington is not one to follow common sense investigations hope the FBI looks into to the Dept as it is very deep just ask Chuck Rough Alan White Scott Lotter Dwight Moore, they have had the wool over our eyes for a long while.

Your list of reasons of why an officer would lie
is quite good, but what about the reason to avoid
criminal prosecution himself? Or is that even
possible while DA Ramsey is in office?
thanks

You are still holding a grudge about this little beat up thing. Hey, Laughing Dog, you puked in my car, you were lucky I didn't shoot you. I just had the car cleaned and detailed. Hey, it hurt my feelings.
Could it be I have seen him before in the back of a Paradise Police car?

What you stated is not the first time I've heard
this among other incidents where local police have
been called out to a scene only to turn a blind eye to crimes much more serious than DUI. I've
been baffled by that myself. In this town DUI is
treated as top priority while other crime is allowed to continue without consequence. There are
true stories I've heard first hand of this, & just
as you stated think it's "weird" too. Makes me
think officers are on some type of a reward system
for DUI arrests to have such an incentive to even stage improbable cause seizures of citizens just
to have another DUI arrest on record. It does
drum up alot of revenue for the County. But still,
just don't get it. And yes, I agree with you that
alot of this is just common sense. I mean, simple
logic & reason should play a part in the internal
investigation process one would think.

Mark Tange, Rick Vasquez hope you enjoy the retirement you do not deserve. Just think if these two were still turning their heads to crime. They were a part in the Dept. short falls but they still get paid??????????

A few weeks ago she was going to have a meeting with the citizens of Paradise. She then called back saying that Mike Ramsey had reopened these certain cases good move Mike keep things under wrap. The citizens involved could not talk about their cases anymore because of the new ongoing INVESTIGATION brought forth by Ramsey. Hope the FBI sees through his crude tactics.

It would all end if they fired the Chief of Police. That is the real problem in Paradise.

I understand the problem with Rough. What's the dirt on Lotter and White? Mayor Woody seems like the real problem as he thinks the town folk are his "audience" and he is hostile to all but his idol Mr. Rough. Rutledge has a son on the force in Chico.

One question for you, and you could answer it with a yes or no answer, Are you part of the group
that met last sunday in the park with the PPD and some town officials to try to bring changes in policies for the good of this town???
yes?
no?

Heard from a reputable source that Ramsey hid a
molestation charge on a high ranking official.
When a victim tried to call 911 the call was
interrupted which is a federal offense. Guess the
Baltierra case was not the first time a desperate
911 call was interrupted by law enforcement. Hope
the FBI finds that evidence. Probably destroyed
by now. Ramsey also hired an attorney recently to
hide something. Interesting. Can't disclose names
but this is not hearsay. Serious stuff.

I honestly can not believe that anyone in their right mind would actually thank these people for making Paradise a "safer place"!! I didn't realize that breaking the law and freaking drinking and driving made Paradise a "safer place". Well, let me tell you that when they kill someone you care about, thanking these scum bags will be the last thing your going to be doing.
And on a seperate note, anytime I have had to work with the police officers (including Officer Pickering and Officer Cooper) here they have been extremely professional, polite, and helpful...but want to hear something crazy... I obey the law! Hmm... I obey the law and never have a problem with the police. It's not rocket science, it's common sense. My husband and I both have lived here our whole lives, my mother has lived here her whole life as well, and we truly feel that the Paradise Police Officers have helped us keep our family safe! And for those of you who don't even live in Paradise, you really shouldn't buy into what these men are alleging these police officers did. You don't know them... I do! Trust me, they are not telling the truth!

Yes, he sits in his big chair in his
office & covers all his officers actions even though
he obviously is not out there in the field with them.
How can he honestly claim police have nothing to hide
in all these cases when he wasn't there in any of
these incidents? Much more believable for him to say
he wasn't there so there is a possibility that the
officers acted inappropriately & leave it at that.
Let the evidence speak for itself, & since the officers obviously have a motive to lie then why not
give equal weight to both testimonies both by the
citizen & cops. If there are inconsistencies in the
testimony then discount both & simply use whatever
material evidence is available. If that doesn't prove
anything then let it go. But to make blanket statements like his dept. does no wrong is just not
very believable. Easy for him to say. Maybe it's time for a new Chief in Town & a change of guards
from the top down. Hopefully, the FBI will probe deep enough to make that happen. So many of us feel
nothing but betrayal from the DA & law enforcement.

Sorry blog person, the picture is of my partner. Sometimes he rode in the back seat, other times in the front. But that officer has never been in a Paradise Police Car. Neither have I. However, you might want to give Laughing Dog a hoot about police cars. He's wrecked a few of them, puked in one of them, my partner bit him once. We have a long history of friendship that we laugh about to this day. So there you go, pick on him, he has a sense of humor.

Yes, you're very perceptive. Ramsey knows he's got
2 other cases to try & cover up besides Schumacher
so whatever happens in the Schumacher case affects
all the rest. He doesn't want to lose this one, but to resort to hiding Pickering's record in
court but allowing Schumacher's to be spilled out
for all to see is nothing more than another
perversion of justice by the DA. If they're not
going to allow Pickering's background in the
courtroom then they shouldn't allow Schumacher's
either. Don't understand why Atty Sears is not
objecting to this or why the judge is even allowing it at all. It's just not fair at all.
They wll try to get away with it at all costs. The Judge should step up but??????????Maybe the FBI can see if it is a "FAIR" trial.
