My experience at this salon was that of EXCELLENCE. I originally had an appointment at another shop not too far from this salon and was told that my hair was too short to braid by 3 different stylist in that shop. One stylist was very rude to the point she rolled her eyes & said no when asked if she could braid my hair. I knew that my hair could be braided because I had just taken out micros the day before my appointment that I had put in while on vacation in Denver. I was asked to come back in 2 weeks and then they could see if it could be braided. I was very upset because I was told that the ladies in that shop were very good. I went home went onto Google and the first shop that came up was KoKo's African Diversity Braiding Salon. I called and asked how much it would be and was given the price and my next question was could they get me in today and was told yes. I asked if I could come now she told me yes. I went in and sat for less than 2mins. KoKo introduced herself and asked my name which was a sign of good customer service. The salon was neat and clean and the ladies in the shop were all nice and they all spoke. I was very comfortable. KoKo took her time with my hair and I loved how my braids turned out. As a matter of fact the other ladies that also did micros their clients hair was also very pretty. These ladies take pride in their work and I would recommend them to anyone who is seeking nice work. And might I add it only took her 6 hours to do my hair. KoKo you are the best!

I come all the way from Des Moines to get my hair done. KoKo is wonderful and definitely worth the drive. She is very professional and my hair looks lovely. The price is very affordable and I got so many compliments I can't begin to tell you. It only took 6 hours. KoKo is the best!!

My little sister had her first set of kinky twists done here. They came out BEAUTIFULLY. Salon supplies hair as well with a variety of color and textures. The salon was a friendly environment with fast timing. Unlike other places KoKo's took only 4 hours to complete the twists. Well past what my money is worth.

I dropped my little cousin off to Koko one Sunday morning and when she came home I loved her hair. I planned to make me an appointment in the following week to come however after a spur of the momenet decision I decided I was tired of looking at my hair and wanted it done RIGHT AWAY so I called at 1:30pm and instantly received an appointment for an hour later and it only took that long because I had to run an errand first. Needless to say my experience is going great (currently in the chair) and I have no problem returning here. As

This place is terrible!!!! Koko is very ghetto and not professional at all. She is nice until you have a complaint. I payed to have all of my hair braided and knotted at the end. She and two other obviously inexperienced young braiders, braided my hair so that the knot was not the ending point of my hair. My natural hair was tied in the knot and extended further. As a result, I ended up cutting my hair because I trusted that paying $200 bucks would ensure that they would braid all of my hair, stopping before the knot. When I called to inform KoKo she was very ghetto and unprofessional and ended up hanging up. I do not do business with rude, ghetto people like this. If you mess up, be professional at least. OR if you do braid client's hair beyond the knot, TELL THE DAMN CLIENT and give them the proper instructions on taking the braids out. I am actually calling the Better Business Bureau to report them. Turns out, the girls that braided my hair were not even licensed.

KOKO did not do my micros braids like I wanted. Two other braiders did my micros. My micros braid was pretty but I did not like the big knots at the end of my hair. I will go back because I like their work but I will express smaller knots at the end of my hair.
