I asked because not everybody does.(15%)

They say it's too boring, or it's too small. I just wanted community feedback.

Hey I came for a visit in February and the moment I stepped off the bus I knew that this was where I wanted to live. So I love it here. Although I know that it isn't, it feels bigger than Dallas and Fort Worth to me. I am still learning the area and having a blast in doing so.

Where do you live exactly? The South? Florence? Meth labs are everywhere in the USA. Heck, Tennessee has it just as bad as we do. Omaha is like a large suburban area, with many exurban parts, but it's one of the highest quality cities.

Omaha seems bigger than Dallas/Ft. Worth? XD

We're technically bigger than St. Louis and Miami, though.

Omaha is a good city, and already offers a lot for both residents and visitors alike. Omaha offers quality education, plenty of places to eat and shop, the arts scene is growing each year, and a good number of stable employers. There is some room for improvement, which becomes evident when "great" cities are analyzed. Start with housing, especially entry level. This city and its associated counties (Douglas, Sarpy) need stricter standards where home quality, design, and layout are concerned, because the working poor are getting rooked. The neighborhoods created by the likes of Celebrity and Hearthstone resemble public housing which caused outcry years ago, only not as good! Omaha should start hosting a "Street of Dreams" for excellence in home design and quality for entry-level consumers. This city needs more neighborhoods with character and quality, such as that found in older parts of the city and obviously more upscale newer areas. However, those of more modest means deserve quality for their investment as well, and it would serve the city far better in the long run. Maybe if we all start discussing this issue, we can turn around this dangerous trend and help our city to grow into a "great" place to live for everyone.

Understood, but you can't remove the metro area out of a discussion about a city's size vis-a-vis demographics.

Yes Omaha seems much bigger than Dallas and Fort Worth. But that is because we have have no room to expand like there is in Omaha. So we have however many millions of people crowed in a small space and just getting even more crowded. I love it up here. I had no trouble finding and getting a job when I needed one. I am looking for a new apartment though any suggestions? I need a two bedroom for no more than 750 a month.

Not to overwhelm you, but I do have some suggestions. If you have a job that is farther east, don't move to Millard. Gas prices=SUCK. If you don't have a full-time job that is a long drive, try The Club near 114th and Maple. It's a relatively calm area, but the thing is... traffic. It can be a problem, but you don't have OMB screwing around too much there. Heck, Dundee isn't too bad either, just be sure not to go to South Omaha (24th and Q) or North Omaha (Mostly east of 72nd and North of Maple Street)

Eh, I'm just 18... but that's my two cents.

Omaha is a huge grid and 132nd runs North to South for a long while. Do you mean Millard? If so, OMB isn't there... so you'll be fine. Also, why not just move in to recently annexed Elkhorn?

First off, whoever told you I was a troll was wrong. I'm the one who brought DP back because we're friends. Secondly, I have no intention of causing trouble. I know the area because I live there and was only trying to give good tips.

I don't know where this idea of me being a troll came from...

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
